About the position
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist with a strong background in functional genomics and single-cell sequencing to join the Virtual Cell Initiative at Arc Institute. The initiative aims to create the first foundational model that makes accurate predictions of cellular states and their response to intervention. In this role, you will lead the generation of massive single-cell perturbation datasets across 50+ cancer cell lines to train Virtual Cell models.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end experimental workflow—from mammalian cell culture and large-scale CRISPR screening to single-cell library preparation and sequencing. Beyond technical execution, this role requires a scientist with exceptional project management capabilities, proficient in organizing complex data streams and adhering to timelines. The successful candidate will thrive within our vibrant team science culture, collaborating daily with other wet lab scientists, automation engineers, and computational biologists. Requirements
- PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Genomics, or another relevant field.
- 0-3 years of post-PhD experience in academia or industry.
- Extensive experience with large-scale pooled CRISPR screening, preferably with scRNA-seq readouts (e.g. Perturb-seq, CROP-seq).
- Expertise in mammalian cell culture and ability to manage multiple cell lines simultaneously.
- Experience in multi-color flow cytometry.
- Experience with mammalian cell line engineering using transfection, lentivirus production and transduction, and other common approaches.
- Experience with different molecular biology techniques (cloning, PCR, etc).
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a highly collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to independently plan, execute, and deliver results on time. Experience with using various project management systems, ELN and LIMS (e.g. Asana, Benchling).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with downstream genomics protocols, especially scRNA-seq (preferably 10X Genomics workflows).

The base salary range for this position is $121,250 - $159,500. We seek a motivated postdoc interested in exploring alternative cropping systems and assessing impacts given the removal of chemical pesticides from arable crop production. You will join a strong international and interdisciplinary research environment working with applied agroecological research. About the position Pests and weeds cause significant crop yield losses. Chemical pesticides have mitigated losses, but are increasingly scrutinised and regulated due to risks to the environment and human health. The lack of discovery of new modes of action, increasing costs of registrations, and development of resistance among weeds and pests, further limit the prospects for relying on chemical pesticides for crop protection. There is an urgent need to assess the consequences for arable crop production given the disappearance of chemical pesticides and to identify and test sustainable crop protection solutions beyond chemical pesticides, such as substitutions and cropping systems redesign based on ecological knowledge.
The postdoc will assess impacts given the removal of chemical pesticides from crop production, using Swedish agriculture as a case study. Focusing on insecticides, the postdoc will then together with researchers and stakeholders identify the most effective and feasible alternatives to chemical pesticides and test and evaluate those alternatives empirically. - Oversee and manage a portfolio of Small Farm Fund projects across multiple countries, ensuring delivery against BCI strategy and BCSS targets.
- Lead grant application and assessment processes, including reviewing proposals, analysing organisational viability and contributing to funding recommendations.

As the General Labourer, the successful candidate will support the team in organizing grain loading to maximize terminal efficiency and profitability. The position will require the safe operation of equipment for receiving and shipping food quality grain, adhering to quality control procedures, inventory control and plant maintenance.
Day to Day
- Assist in loading/unloading of trucks/vessels/railcars and follow loading instructions and forms
- Assign commodities to storage locations in operating system; retain processing and shipping samples for customers
- Assist with maintenance and cleaning of facility
- Contribute to general elevator operations
- Provide excellent customer service and abide by shipping schedule
- Identify and troubleshoot problems with equipment and machinery
- Previous experience in a general labour role, specifically in agriculture and/or terminal or marine operations is a plus.
- Grain handling and storage knowledge is an asset
- Valid G driver’s license
- Proficient in basic computer operations, with the ability to quickly adapt to new software
- Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50lbs) and work in a variety of weather conditions
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends if required

About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Hostess position to join the F&B Department at Jumeirah Mallorca. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Welcome, greet, and seat guests promptly while managing reservations and guest inquiries with professionalism and warmth.
- Coordinate table flow and support service teams to ensure smooth operations and an excellent guest experience.
- Anticipate guest needs, respond to requests efficiently, and maintain a friendly yet unobtrusive presence.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and knowledge of menus and daily specials.
- Act as a brand ambassador by delivering gracious service aligned with company values and service standards.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Hostess or in a guest-facing role within a luxury hospitality or high-end F&B environment.
- Confident in delivering warm, professional service and creating a welcoming first impression for guests.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage reservations and guest flow efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work closely with service teams and engage naturally with guests.
- Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.

What Makes You a Great Fit
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Economics, Business, or related field;
- Work Experience: At least 3 years of experience in media planning and strategy or communication strategy teams. Integrated media activations experience is a plus (client-side or agency). Background from startups or media owners/media sales is also welcome
- Skills: Strong understanding of the paid media ecosystem, plus confidence with reporting and performance analysis;
- Ways of working: Structured, proactive, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and priorities;
- Local language: Proficiency in Italian and fluent in both written and spoken English.
