The Role

Our client, a well-established and diversified conglomerate, is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Resident Engineer for their REAL ESTATE Division to oversee all on-site engineering and construction activities for an ongoing residential development project in Dubai

The selected candidate will be fully assigned to the current project during its active construction phase, with the opportunity to transition into future real estate developments within our expanding project pipeline.

This role requires full project commitment, strong technical leadership, and the ability to safeguard quality, timelines, costs, and compliance across all stages of development.

Primary Responsibilities – Current Projects

1. Site Supervision & Execution Control

• Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with approved IFC drawings and specifications
• Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and workmanship
• Ensure adherence to Dubai Municipality regulations and authority requirements
• Identify risks, delays, or quality concerns and implement corrective measures

2. Quality Assurance & Technical Compliance

• Enforce strict quality control standards
• Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and ITPs
• Conduct inspections and manage non-conformance reports (NCRs)
• Ensure high standards of finishing and execution

3. Planning, Monitoring & Reporting

• Review contractor programs of work and cash flow forecasts

4. Cost & Variation Oversight

• Review variation orders and assess technical justifications
• Validate work completion prior to interim payment certifications

• Liaise with Dubai Municipality and relevant authorities
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, structural and MEP engineers

Role Description: The Contracts Coordinator shall support the Contracts Department by managing contract documentation, tracking contractual obligations, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring timely submission, review, and approval of all contract-related deliverables. The role provides administrative, commercial, and coordination support throughout pre‑contract and post‑contract stages.

Contracts Management Coordination:

1. Assist in preparing draft contract agreements, schedules, terms & conditions, BOQs, and appendices prior to award.
2. Ensure completeness and accuracy of contract documents, including alignment with tender requirements and approved negotiations.
3. Maintain version control and coordinate internal reviews before issuance of final award documents.
4. Compile contract award packages for signature and distribution.
5. Adhere to organisation’s Standard Operating Procedures and ensure compliance;
6. Co-ordinate for Contracts management activities, and gather information (quotes, comparative statements, etc.) in coordination with other stakeholders of the projects;
7. Make sure that internal team needs are met as project evolves.

Document Management:

1. Establish, Manage and enforce document management process to control and monitor all Contracts / Subcontracts / LOAs / LOIs prepared for the Company.
2. Ensure all Original Contracts / Subcontracts / LOAs / LOIs are received by the Department from the Central Procurement Department and co-ordinate with document controller to file them in separate files.
3. Update the status of pending Contracts / Subcontracts / LOAs/ LOIs.

Requirements:

• Min 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelors of Engineering or Technology (Civil/Mechanical or Electrical).
• Proven work experience as a Contracts Coordinator or similar role.
• Real estate or Construction background.
• Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
• Basic FIDIC knowledge. Certification shall be added advantage.
