Middle Office Specialist (Trade Support) – Asia
We are seeking a Middle Office Specialist based in Asia to support a US hedge fund’s global multi-asset trading, additionally with knowledge of China onshore and offshore cross-asset class access. The role is responsible for accurate, same-day trade capture, allocations, confirmations and reconciliations across Asia products including cash equities, equity swaps, futures, options, FX, bonds and OTC derivatives, while closely supporting trading in China via Stock Connect, QFII/QFI, CIBM and other access schemes. You will act as a key contact for Portfolio Managers, Traders, brokers and custodians, resolving trade, position and pricing issues, supporting regulatory and transaction reporting, and driving process and control enhancements. - Monitor intraday trading activity across all Fixed Income and Equities instruments, with a particular focus on China A-shares and related derivatives, ensuring accurate and complete trade capture on trade date.
- Establish and refine procedures for accurate Trade Capture and allocation across products and regions in conjunction with Risk, Technology, and Trading, ensuring alignment with US head office standards and local market practices.
- Ensure accurate and timely trade affirmation, confirmation, and matching across multiple asset classes on trade date (T+0), including via CTM, MarkitWire, broker platforms, and local market utilities.
- Act as a central point of contact for Portfolio Managers and Trading teams to resolve any position, pricing, booking, technology, risk, and security master data issues.
- Investigate and resolve trade breaks (economic, booking, and confirmation discrepancies) by liaising with internal stakeholders (Trading, Risk, Finance, Technology, Compliance) and external counterparties (brokers, custodians, prime brokers).
- Perform daily position and P & L reconciliations versus prime brokers, custodians, and internal books; promptly reconcile and escalate discrepancies.
- Support end-of-day close processes, including validation of trade feeds, position integrity checks, and hand-off to P & L/Valuations and Risk.
- Support front office trading in China A-shares and related securities via QFII/QFI, Stock Connect, and other China market access schemes; ensure compliance with local trading, quota, and settlement rules.
- Coordinate and monitor pre-trade checks and post-trade controls specific to China markets, including quota usage, daily limits, and market-specific constraints (e.g., price limits, short-sell restrictions).
- Oversee trade lifecycle for China onshore equities, including order capture, execution, allocation, booking, confirmation, settlement, and corporate action processing, in close collaboration with custodians and onshore brokers.
- Manage operational touchpoints with key infrastructure providers in China (e.g., local brokers, custodians, exchanges, clearing houses) and ensure timely resolution of market-specific operational issues.
- Maintain working knowledge of China market rules, regulatory changes, exchange requirements, and operational market practices, and translate these into updated procedures and controls.
- Partner with Compliance and Legal to ensure that all China onshore and offshore trading activity follows relevant local regulations, license conditions, and reporting requirements.
- Partner with Technology to define requirements and test enhancements for trading and middle office systems, especially for Asia/China-specific connectivity and workflows (e.g., new brokers, new access schemes, regulatory changes).
- Analyze existing processes and workflows, identify inefficiencies or control gaps, and design and implement improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, scalability, and control.
- Participate in and help lead regional and global projects, including system migrations, new product launches, market access expansions, and regulatory change initiatives.
- Contribute to creation and maintenance of SOPs, runbooks, and training materials for Asia-based and global Middle Office teams.
- Build strong working relationships with front office (Portfolio Managers, Traders), Risk, P & L/Valuations, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and Legal teams in both Asia and the US.
- Liaise regularly with prime brokers, executing brokers, custodians, vendors, and other external partners to resolve day-to-day issues and to improve overall service and processes.
- Communicate clearly and proactively regarding operational risks, incidents, and process changes, ensuring appropriate escalation and follow-up.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Middle Office, Trade Support, or Trading Assistant roles at a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank, or broker-dealer.
- Strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience supporting China equity markets and access-related trading, including but not limited to:
- Offshore China market access: Stock Connect (Northbound/Southbound), CIBM, other connect schemes.
- Onshore market access: QFII/QFI or equivalent programs, and operational experience with onshore brokers and custodians.
- Understanding of Asia / China market structure, local trading and settlement conventions, corporate actions, and regulatory reporting frameworks is strongly preferred.
- Experience with at least one of the following systems: MarkitWire, CTM, Murex, Imagine, Bloomberg, Refinitiv/Reuters, or similar OMS/EMS and middle office platforms.
- Strong Excel skills (e.g., advanced formulas, pivot tables); ability to handle large data sets and perform reconciliations efficiently.
- Familiarity with FIX messaging and electronic trading workflows is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with demonstrable thoroughness and strong ownership of work; takes accountability for accuracy and completeness.

We are seeking a Electrical Engineer to support the design, integration, and operation of SCADA and metering systems while working closely with external vendors, meter suppliers, and system integrators. This role serves as the technical owner and liaison to ensure vendor-delivered SCADA and metering solutions meet operational, data accuracy, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.

Our Client is a Multinational Pharma and Biotech leader constructing a billion-dollar ADC manufacturing facility in Singapore.
The Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) Manager reports to the Project Director (PD) and is a key member of the SGOP project team. The CQV Manager leads the planning and execution of commissioning, qualification, and validation for manufacturing buildings (DS, DL, DP), supporting utilities, and warehousing/packaging interfaces, in collaboration with PMs, Design and Technical Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Work Package Owners (WPOs), contractors/OEMs, operations and quality. The role ensures safe, compliant, and efficient CQV delivery in accordance with the approved Validation Master Plan (VMP) and CQV Strategy, aligned to AZ standards and regulatory expectations (GMP/GDP).
Scope of Work
- Quality culture and governance: Champion a “Right First Time” culture across CQV activities; ensure CQV execution aligns with the VMP, CQV Strategy, and Client’s governance, with clear acceptance criteria and approval pathways.
- Strategy and planning: Building on the System Impact Assessment (SIA) and CQV Strategy from Concept Design, develop and maintain the CQV Execution Plan during entire project lifecycle, including resource plans, logical sequencing, and dependencies across building services, process systems, and utilities.
- VMP ownership: Ensure the Project VMP is generated (as required), established, approved, maintained, and communicated for use; cascade requirements to WPOs, contractors, and vendors.
- Risk-based CQV: Lead System Risk Assessments and CQV planning assessments (risk assessments, supplier assessments, RFP deliverable reviews) to enable risk-based testing, opportunities for acceleration, and scope optimization per stage roadmap.
- Construction-to-CQ transition: Coordinate closely with the Construction Manager to manage the transition from Mechanical Completion (MC) to Commissioning Completion, including CTOD (Construction Turnover Documentation) and VTOP (Vendor Turnover Documentation) acceptance, punchlist closure strategy, and “Safe to Start” (including LOTO) reviews prior to energization.
- Permitting and SHE during start-up: Implement Client’ s Global Engineering Client SHE Requirements with the Construction SHE Manager and Engineering SHE Lead, focusing on start-up risks, energization readiness, and simultaneous operations during CQV.
- Documentation and protocol oversight: Oversee preparation, execution, and approval of CQV documentation (test protocols/scripts, reports, raw data and calculations), ensuring results meet defined acceptance criteria and Client’s standards, processes, and procedures; maintain data integrity and audit readiness.
- FAT/SAT and OEM coordination: Provide oversight of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and their documentation; coordinate OEM engagement and approvals in line with Client’s governance; align with equipment-specific qualification requirements.
- Live systems stewardship: Manage “live system” operations while under project care and custody during CQV, including status controls and boards, escalation processes, and interface with operations for temporary use or phased turnover.
- Stakeholder engagement: Support the PM in managing Client’ s customer stakeholders (e.g., Site Quality for GMP compliance and Receiving Client team for operational readiness); enable effective use of GVLMS (global validation/lifecycle management system) by client/end-users (e.g., entity creation and approvals).

JOB PURPOSE:
The Process Safety Engineer will ensure the safe design, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes by proactively identifying and mitigating process-related risks. The Process Safety Engineer will support compliance with TIMCC safety standards and regulatory requirements as per local Australian standards, lead hazard analysis and risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement in process safety performance to protect people, assets, and the environment across the site.
- As the Process Safety Engineer, you will develop and drive the process safety management (PSM) strategic direction for the site and work with other departments on delivering safe and environmentally sustainable outcomes through partnering with the business. This role is based in Minto, reporting to the Engineering manager for the site.
- Lead the process safety management (PSM) role for the site as per defined 20 pillars in TMICC (formerly unilever standards).
- Attain the Technical Authority (TA) certification as an SME for Flammable liquids, combustible dust, Fire safety management system, PSM and Ammonia refrigeration systems
- Ensure compliance with NSW (WHS & EPA) and TIMCC safety regulations in Ammonia plant, Flammable liquids, combustible dust, dry and wet Fire system (e.g. ISO 45001, AS 1851 etc).
- Lead internal and external PSM audits; track and ensure closure of action items in timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all registers (pressure vessel, PRV/PSV, boiler, gas detector calibrations) as per statutory and company requirements.
- Ensure the Annual Fire Safety statement (AFSS) certificate and other fire system regulatory checks are conducted in timely manner.
- Conduct Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), including HAZOP, What-If, FMEA, and Bowtie Analysis Implement the recommendations to mitigate gaps.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate process-related hazards across Ammonia plant, chemical handling, Mix plant manufacturing, packaging, other utilities, etc.).
- Review and validate safety integrity levels (SIL) and layer of protection analysis (LOPA) studies for the Ammonia plant.
- Collaborate with other engineers to review piping and instrumentation diagram (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and equipment layouts from a safety standpoint wherever applicable.
- Review and keep updated to cause & effect control logic and interlock systems for Ammonia plant.
- Lead or support investigations of process-related incidents (Eg. fires, ammonia leaks and process near-misses).
- Use tools like SCAT, 5 Whys, or Fishbone diagrams to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Participate in the development and Implementation of regular testing of Emergency Response Plans (ERP).
- Coordinate mock drills for ERP (E.g. chemical spills, fire scenarios, or Ammonia leak events).
- Conduct various studies to determine the dispersion modelling during Ammonia leak for different scenarios.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on process safety management (PSM) principles.
- Ensure that all operational and maintenance staff are aware of hazards and safe handling procedures
- Evaluate safety implications of process changes minor or major (Eg. equipment, raw materials, utilities, procedures, setpoints etc).
- Lead the eMoC process for the site as MoC coordinator and SME, ensuring all changes are reviewed, approved, and documented before implementation.
- Track leading and lagging indicators such as process deviations, loss of containment, or safety-critical equipment failures.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly safety performance reports for senior management as and when required.
- Work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Team; Quality Assurance/Coordinator (QA/QC), and Engineering teams.
- Communicate technical safety information to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
- Act as a safety advocate, promoting a proactive safety culture across the plant.
- Lead and initiate projects for PSM at site level following Early Equipment Management (Unilever Management Systems) methodology.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, SHE, QA/QC, and engineering teams.
- Communicate technical safety information to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
- Act as a safety advocate, promoting a proactive safety culture across the plant.
