Your Responsibilities:

Technical Design and Analysis:

• Perform and supervise offshore pipeline and cable design analysis, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct advanced engineering calculations, including:
• Pipeline wall thickness sizing
• On-bottom stability analysis
• Pipeline expansion and stress analysis
• Fatigue and Vortex-Induced Vibration (VIV) analysis
• On-bottom roughness evaluation
• Pipeline crossing and walking analysis
• Dropped object and fishing interaction assessment
• Material Take-Off (MTO) preparation

Project Preparation and Technical Deliverables:

• Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and drawings for pipeline systems and related components.
• Verify subcontracted engineering work to ensure compliance with project standards.
• Prepare technical specifications and material requisitions for procurement.
• Oversee bid evaluation and procurement phases for materials and services.

Project Management and Coordination:

• Review client technical documentation and requirements to ensure alignment with engineering deliverables.
• Assist in the preparation of technical qualifications and proposals for EPCI contracts.
• Contribute to the improvement of department tools and engineering standards for subsea pipeline design.
• Support the definition and implementation of quality procedures for the department.

What We’re Looking For:

🎓 Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Ocean Engineering.

💼 5+ years of experience in offshore pipeline design and subsea structure engineering.

🌍 Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering calculation software (DNV Software Suite, AutoPipe, MathCad, Orcaflex, AutoCAD/Microstation).

🤝 Soft Skills: Strong leadership and teamwork skills; experience in leading small teams is a plus.

• Support the development of full-funnel media across key touchpoints;

• Chase supplier/buying/accounts for any missing or replacement documentation to minimise disruption to supply chain and ensure the correct documentation for products of animal origin is provided to facilitate clearance by the UK Port Health authorities.
• Manage the import process in Excel, maintaining a sequential referencing system.
• Instruct forwarding agents/carriers; detailing commodity codes, duty rates, preferences, tariff quotas and special procedures to be applied for to ensure goods are cleared at the most favourable duty rate.
• Prepare and process customs documentation, including import declarations using inhouse customs management software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Claiming MUCR numbers for inventory linked goods passing through a DESTIN8 or COMPASS UK port.
• Submit an import notification on IPAFFS to tell APHA about imports of products of animal origin at least 24 hours in advance of the goods arrival at a UK port. This is also known as a Common Health Entry document (CHED).
• Awareness and practical use of The Border Target Operating Model.
• Ability to use and understand HMRC Tariff Classification service (on-line tool).
• Use of AEB – specialist software to prepare brokers instructions and self-file.
• Use of Customs Declaration Service.
• Monitoring Community Service Provider (CSP) notification status to identify consignments that have been selected for an identity check (A-ATEF) or physical check (B-ATEF).
• Processing IUU Notification using PHILIS DES system to generate pre-notifications of Certificate of Inspections (COI) and Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishery products (IUU).
• Compilation of insurance declaration schedules per import consignment for uninsured shipments calculating insurance premiums due.
• Resolve any issues raised by Regulatory authorities or agents with the supplier requesting the necessary corrective action in a timely manner to minimise disruption to supply chain.
• Receive tariff updates from HMRC monthly. Review rates of duty; record any changes on departmental spread sheets.
• Proactively advise the business regarding any changes to duty rates and preferences we pay the lowest rates of duty possible.
• Perform IUU due diligence checks on catch certificates to ensure they are not on the illegal unreported, unregulated fishing regulation (IUU) blacklist and are legally compliant to the regulation.
• Reconcile duty deferment statements as required and ensure any over or under payments of duty to HMRC are declared.
• Manage the return of out of specification goods to suppliers. Liaising with shipping lines, buyers, deployment, and warehouse Ensure duty is reclaimed where possible.

We are looking for a Chief Power Engineer (Second Class) to lead a team of engineers and oversee operations, maintenance, and management of industrial plants, including boilers, potable water facilities and lagoon systems.

Reporting to the Operations Superintendent and working a Monday to Friday schedule and occasionally working on-call hours during weekends as required you will be:

• Overseeing operation and maintenance of the utilities network (steam system, including boilers and distribution, thermal fluid heaters, plant natural gas, process water, potable water, sewer, compressed air and environmental lagoons) of a multi-disciplined group
• Directing supervision and accountable for 4 operating crews, totalling 11 power engineers
• Working as a member of the technical team and as the area representative for various related engineering projects
• Overseeing and managing the work of contractors in area
• Attending regular planning meetings across multiple departments
• Managing and forecasting costs for their assigned sector
• Participating and leading continuous improvement projects
• Leading practical problem-solving workshops with other team members and trades

What you’ll bring
