Role: DevOps Snowflake Engineer

Contract Position

Location: Madrid, Spain (2 to 3days Onsite)

Job Description:

· Operate and enhance the Snowflake platform across multiple clouds (Azure, AWS)

· Automate infrastructure and Snowflake object deployments with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and support the migration to GitHub.

· Ensure secure, compliant connectivity and storage configuration in Azure (and emerging AWS workloads).

· Optimize Snowflake usage around cost, performance, and scalability.

· Collaborate with security, networking, and data teams to align platform capabilities with business needs.

· Actively participate in Agile/SAFe ceremonies and cross-team collaboration initiatives.

Required Technical Skills

· Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud Engineering, including networking (VNETs, routing, DNS, private endpoints), identity, and storage.

· Experience operating and administering Snowflake:

· Warehouses, RBAC, databases, schemas, resource monitors

· External tables, stages, integrations (Azure mainly)

· Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

· Understanding of enterprise cloud networking and security best practices.

· Experience with observability and audit logging tools.

· Familiarity with Agile/Safe methodologies.

• Design and implement high-quality server-side code and meet coding standards
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
• Build and evolve services based on Java (Quarkus), JPA/Hibernate and SQL
• Ensure production-grade observability (structured logging, metrics, tracing) and robust error handling
• Participate in architecture and design reviews; provide hands-on guidance and code reviews for the team
• Ship continuously in an agile environment with automated testing and CI/CD
• Troubleshoot production issues and deliver timely fixes with strong root-cause analysis
• Research, evaluate, and prototype new technologies where they add clear value

• 3+ years of application development experience in Java(11+) back end development
• Strong fundamentals in OOP, concurrency, collections, and JVM internals (GC, memory, threading)
• Practical experience with Quarkus/Spring is a plus (or strong experience in a comparable framework), CDI
• Experience building RESTful APIs with clear contracts (OpenAPI/Swagger) and versioning strategies
• JPA/Hibernate expertise and strong SQL skills and data migration tools (Flyway/Liquibase); experience with relational schema design and query optimization
• Solid Docker skills; image hygiene and basic runtime diagnostics
• Effective communication in English and the ability to collaborate across functions
• Proficient skills with tools used in software development lifecycle, such as IntelliJ, JIRA, GitHub, Maven, etc. Knowledge of agents and other AI tooling (GitHub copilot) is a plus

What will you do?

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain the cloud infrastructure that powers our fast-scaling business. Context

Under the direct supervision of the Chief, Corporate Solutions, the Stream Lead (Technical Integration and Data Management) is responsible for ensuring that the ERP solution continues to meet organizational performance objectives, remains aligned with evolving business requirements, and stays technically robust in the context of continuous platform updates and ongoing business improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

1. 11. Ensure security and compliance across integrations, extensions and reporting data flows (least-privilege access, encryption, secrets management, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) considerations), and coordinate with Information Security on periodic reviews, audits, and penetration testing.
12. Engage Functional Stream Leads and stakeholders to translate business requirements into secure, scalable technical solutions; communicate risks, options, and recommendations to governance bodies and decision-makers.

Qualifications

Education

Experience

• Technical and functional experience working on ERP systems, including:

Responsabilità principali
