Car & Away launched at Gatwick Airport in 2017, allowing passengers at the airport to rent out their vehicles to other people whilst on holiday. Following the Covid related airport closures, Car & Away was suspended and Karshare was launched. Karshare is Europe’s first 100% on-demand peer to peer car sharing platform, enabled using keyless technology. All users are able to search, book, locate and unlock and rent the vehicles using their phone. Karshare was the first peer to peer car sharing business that used telematics to monitor and reward driver behaviour.

Car & Away has launched at Gatwick airport where parked cars, rather than collecting dust, can instead make money for their owners through renting them out to incoming passengers. The business will also support our community of owners to rent out their cars from home.
