  • Description: I set up Chimeara Limited to initially provide a blended approach to recruitment, change consultancy & digital marketing (like the Greek mythical beast - three parts combining to provide a mighty offering). Back in 2003 Chimeara was best known for our Recruitment Solutions - initially providing bespoke Executive Recruitment & Consultancy services to emerging markets, such as Management Consultancies, BPO providers, Change Consultancy and then through reputation to Further Education & Training organisations. I was then approached by three very large Training Providers to manage all of their recruitment for them. This paved the way for a very quick growth strategy to be implemented: training and recruiting staff, developing our marketing, brand, service offering and market position, etc. We were David competing against many Goliaths - it was fantastic! Chimeara quickly grew to be one of the largest recruitment providers in the FE sector. In 2003 I launched FE Careers & FE News to provide niche online job advertising and FE sector wide news. The business model and services were adapted to our client and market needs. Initially providing Executive Recruitment services to clients, then developing a digitial recruitment model by developing FE Careers as the largest online job advertising site in Further Education and skills. Chimeara effectively swapped direct recruitment for an online recruitment model and started offering videography services primarily for FE News - my role being mainly as a Video Producer, as well as a provider of 'white labelled' videography services for our clients. FE Careers is the largest specialist online job advertising site providing online recruitment solutions to the Further Education, Work Based Learning, Employability & Skills sectors. FE News is one of the largest online news sites dedicated to Further Education news. Our main purpose is to share best practice within the sector through expert columnists.
