Overview

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for the technical design of the Facilities maintenance program and scope, recommends facilities equipment based on efficiency and lifecycle cost, facilities process improvement, and technical analysis for sustainability initiatives and projects.

This role drives Risk Mitigation, Asset Management, and Utilities Efficiency, and ensures that facility operations align with safety, security, and business continuity objectives.

This role provides engineering support to multiple sites.

Responsibilities

Optimize the performance of the Electrical Power Infrastructure, HVAC systems, Compressed air systems, and Fire Protection systems, moving towards reliability-centered maintenance.

Implement and manage IOT technology to monitor utilities usage and critical systems health in real-time.

Design and test redundancy protocols for critical systems (Emergency Generators, UPS) to ensure zero downtime during power or system failures.

Asset Management: In alignment with the managerial team, champion and maintain the Capital Improvement Plan for major building systems.

Lead high-impact Facilities improvement projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to engineering standards.

Act as the admin and tech lead for regulatory compliance.

Lead internal audits by maintaining rigorous documentation.

Own the CMMS platform, using data analytics to identify recurring failure trends and transitioning the department from Preventive to Predictive maintenance.

Inspection and troubleshooting for: Compressed air system, A/C units, Swamp coolers, Restrooms issues, Emergency generator, Electrical installations.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering.

3–5 years in industrial facility management or engineering, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.

Demonstrated Technical Background On

HVAC systems

Air compressors

Electrical installations

Fire protection systems

Building systems and structures

Soft Skills: Ability to learn quickly, excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills, team oriented, customer oriented, bilingual.

Desired Qualifications

Certified Facility Manager, Project Management, and Electrical, HVAC, NFPA certification.

Have in-depth experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases. This could be PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, or another type of document-database. This includes experience with schema design, indexing, querying, and performance tuning
Are eager to share your knowledge with teammates through mentorship, code reviews and pair programming sessions
Have experience writing apps for Azure, AWS, GCP, CloudFoundry, Heroku, SalesForce, Mulesoft and/or other cloud providers
Are well versed in using Cloud Provider utilities such as CLI tools and Consoles (Azure Portal, AWS Console)

The Opportunity

As a Staff Android Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain Android applications that meet business and technical requirements. Qualifications

Proficient using IDEs, version control systems such as Git, and command line tools.

The Opportunity

As a Tech Lead (Android), you will be at the forefront of our dynamic team, leading the design of applications, tools, and processes while ensuring value, clarity, and maintainability. The Tax Manager will be primarily responsible for overseeing and executing all aspects of Indirect Taxes in Brazil, including ICMS, IPI, ISS, PIS/COFINS, and the upcoming CBS/IBS reform. This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical knowledge of indirect tax legislation, SPED compliance, and electronic invoicing (NF-e/NFS-e), along with the ability to lead projects and partner with business and IT teams.

While the primary focus is Indirect Taxes, the role will also interact with Direct Tax areas (IRPJ, CSLL, transfer pricing, WHT) and thus a solid understanding of Brazil’s direct tax framework is desirable.

What will you be doing?

Indirect Taxes

Daily Operations

Invoice validation & issuance (NF-e / NFS-e / CT-e): Check if all electronic invoices comply with federal/state/municipal requirements; troubleshoot invoice rejections in SEFAZ portals.
Tax coding of transactions: Apply correct CST/CFOP codes and NCM classification to ensure the right ICMS, IPI, PIS/COFINS, and ISS treatment.
Calculation of credits and debits: Control ICMS credits (on purchases of goods/services, utilities, fixed assets) and PIS/COFINS non-cumulative credits. Verify eligibility and proper booking.
Reconciliation of ledgers: Match GL postings with tax subledgers and SPED data to ensure integrity of balances for ICMS, IPI, PIS/COFINS, ISS.

Monthly/Periodic Compliance

SPED obligations: Prepare and submit EFD-ICMS/IPI, EFD-Contribuições, reconciling with accounting and NF-e bases.
Municipal compliance: Handle ISS declarations in multiple cities (each with their own rules and systems).
ICMS-ST & DIFAL calculations: Compute substitution tax (Substituição Tributária) and differential rate (DIFAL) for interstate transactions.
Tax payment scheduling: Generate DARFs/DARFs numerados/GNREs and ensure timely payments at federal, state, and municipal levels.

Audits

Handle tax audits (fiscalizações), administrative/judicial defenses, and manage relationship with Receita Federal.

Projects & Improvements

ERP configuration: Work directly in TOTVS, to configure tax codes and test new rules (especially for CBS/IBS migration).
Tax scenario testing: Create test transactions (domestic, imports, exports, services) to validate system tax outputs.
Indirect tax automation: Implement tools to automate PIS/COFINS credit calculations, ICMS reconciliations, and SPED reporting.
Monitor law changes: Track updates in ICMS protocols, municipal ISS rules, and CBS/IBS reform legislation, applying changes immediately in systems and compliance routines.

Cross-Functional & Strategic

Partner with supply chain, commercial, and legal teams to analyze tax impacts on contracts, pricing, and logistics (e.g., ICMS credits, destination-based taxation).
Lead implementation of the new VAT system (CBS + IBS), including ERP configuration, testing, and compliance processes.
Evaluate tax planning opportunities to optimize cash flow and effective tax rate, always ensuring compliance with Brazilian law.

Skills & Competencies

Deep technical expertise in Brazilian tax legislation (federal, state, and municipal)
Strong command of SPED reporting and digital obligations.
Hands-on approach: able to both design strategy and perform calculations, filings, and reconciliations.
ERP knowledge: TOTVS Protheus
Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex tax and compliance issues
Strong communication skills to interface with auditors, consultants, and government authorities.

Direct Taxes (Secondary / Nice to Have)

Provide support in areas such as IRPJ, CSLL, withholding taxes (IRRF, CIDE, PIS/COFINS/CSLL on imports).

What will you need to be successful?

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or economics; post-graduate degree or MBA in Taxation highly preferred.

The Role

The Opportunity

TELUS Digital seeks Senior AI Engineer with deep expertise in Conversational AI, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI, and cloud-native ML systems and strong Leadership Skills. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical execution, product impact, and cross-functional leadership. You will lead end-to-end AI solution development—from initial requirements gathering and stakeholder alignment to model deployment, visualization, and storytelling.

You’ll work with cutting-edge LLMs, design production-grade NLP systems, and deploy scalable AI applications on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This includes leveraging tools like Vertex AI, Dialogflow, Kubernetes (GKE), and vector databases to build secure, high-impact solutions.

Responsibilities

Own the full AI solution lifecycle: gather requirements, define success metrics, prototype models, validate results, and deploy solutions to production.
Build and optimize vector search and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, leveraging vector databases for advanced GenAI applications.
Architect and operationalize ML workflows using Vertex AI, GKE, and related GCP tools.
Build secure and scalable web applications or AI interfaces using frameworks such as Streamlit, Dash, Gradio, Flask, or similar tools for end-user interaction and insight delivery.
Develop clear, audience-specific visualizations and dashboards to communicate complex AI outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Champion ML best practices, including governance, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and reproducibility.
Mentor junior team members and lead technical reviews and architectural discussions.
Engage regularly with product owners, domain experts, and executive stakeholders to align AI solutions with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

Leadership & Collaboration:

Demonstrated success leading technical projects, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring team members.
Strong communication skills to interface with stakeholders at all levels—technical and business alike.

Programming & ML: Advanced Python proficiency and deep experience with libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace Transformers.

NLP & GenAI and Conversational AI:

Expertise in classical NLP tasks: text classification, sentiment analysis, entity recognition, topic modeling.
Experience with LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and deployment of Generative AI systems.

Cloud Platforms:

Hands-on experience with GCP, including Vertex AI, Cloud Functions, Dialogflow, and GKE.
Familiarity with cloud architecture, security best practices, and cost optimization.

Vector Database Proficiency: Designing and implementing solutions using vector search engines and embedding stores.

Visualization & Storytelling: Ability to transform data insights into compelling narratives and clear visuals using tools such as Looker or equivalent.
