Project Description:

The project requires the following at a high level:

• 🏗️ Mobilisation of residual solids in legacy effluent management tanks
• 💥 Retrieval of solids from tanks
• ⚛️ Separation of solids from adhering nuclear inventory
• 🔄 Routing of recovered nuclear inventory for onward processing
• 📦 Packaging and routing of residual solids for onward encapsulation (ILW and LLW)

Role Description:

• 📝 Produce process engineering deliverables to support the "Appraise and Select" design phase
• 👥 Work within a multi-discipline design team

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

Job Summary

Oversee the manufacturing of products and involved in every stage of making a product from development and manufacturing to packaging, using various methods of testing and inspection. Document and analyze test results and report the findings to the management.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and direct activities related to the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.
• Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical, or mechanical.
• Develop and maintain testing schedules, ensuring timely execution of inspections and tests.
• Review and approve test results, ensuring accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and availability of lab equipment and tools.

Job Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of quality control processes across the full product lifecycle—from raw materials to finished goods.

• Hands‑on experience with inspection, testing, and validation of products in compliance with specifications and standards.

• Solid understanding of quality standards, procedures, and documentation requirements (ISO standards preferred).

• Experience preparing quality reports and presenting findings to management.

The Permanent Investigator is responsible for executing and managing technical investigation operations in industrial incidents with the aim of identifying root causes and contributing factors, analyzing technical, organizational, and behavioral failure aspects, issuing neutral professional investigation reports that support decision-making, contributing to preventing incident recurrence, raising compliance levels, protecting lives and property, and improving the safety and sustainability of the industrial environment.

A. Technical Responsibilities :

• Execute field and desk investigations in industrial incidents in accordance with approved methodologies. •

Gather and analyze technical evidence (mechanical, electrical, chemical, operational) and link it to the sequence of events.

• Analyze safety and risk management systems and identify technical and organizational failure points.

• Prepare detailed technical investigation reports containing root causes and corrective and preventive recommendations.

• Document lessons learned and feed them into incident databases for continuous improvement. B. Organizational & Coordination Responsibilities :

• Coordinate with investigation teams, operations, and relevant parties during investigations.

• Support the development of corrective procedures and follow up on their implementation in collaboration with relevant teams.

• Contribute to analyzing recurring trends in incidents and submitting periodic analytical reports. • Maintain full professional independence and neutrality throughout all investigation phases.

C. Quality & Improvement Responsibilities

• Contribute to improving approved investigation methodologies and tools.

• Support continuous improvement efforts and raise the maturity level of technical investigations.

A. Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Mechanics, Electrical, Chemistry, Industrial).

• Professional certifications specialized in safety and investigation in incidents: NEBOSH / CFI2 / CFI1 or equivalent.

B. Experience

• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in technical investigation of industrial incidents, occupational safety, or risk management.

• Proven experience in applying root cause analysis methodologies.

• Lead the efforts towards timely processing of proponent requests, it’s conversion to orders/agreements and delivery in a timely manner.
• Establish and lead cross-functional teams to develop the procurement category strategies in alignment with the procurement strategies and business objectives.

The Head of MSAT (Manufacturing Science & Technology) will provide strategic and operational leadership for MSAT activities supporting commercial manufacturing, process improvements, and technology transfer for oral solid dosage products. • Volume: We’re open to hiring both part-time for full-time workers. Quality and consistency is our top priority. 
• Rate: $150 per accepted article (after evaluation phase).

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Lot Production & Execution: Take accountability for R&D BGE Lab Lot production, including the planning, preparation, and implementation of reagent batches.
• Testing & Analysis: Perform rigorous testing of formulations and raw materials to ensure consistency and performance.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain precise documentation of the experiments and lab lots and communicate progress effectively to project and line managers.
• Laboratory Management: Support daily lab operations, including inventory management for consumables and the maintenance/servicing of laboratory infrastructure.
• Process Improvement: Assist in establishing new raw materials and refining methods for manufacturing, testing, and packaging.
• Presentation: Prepare and present technical data and test designs to the wider R&D team.

Must Haves:

• Completed an apprenticeship as a Laboratory Technician specializing in Chemistry or, Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Life Sciences (Chemistry or related field) ( Master and PhD - not accepted)
• Strong fundamental knowledge of inorganic and/or organic chemistry with hands-on skills in solution preparation - immediate graduates are ok
• Proven experience in the analysis of chemicals (analytical balance readings- pippette) and complex chemical solutions (Calibrator solutions) will be learning and using Roche instruments and so Roche measurements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) is essential for our international environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to network across R&D, Operations, and Quality Control teams.

Nice to Haves:

• At least 3 years of professional experience as a Lab Technician in a regulated environment.

MSAT Process Lead Contractor

Contract: 6 months

Hours: 40 hours per week

On-site: Maximum 4 days per week

· Provide technical leadership within Manufacturing Science and Technology by defining and maintaining the processes as part of Tech transfer / NPI activities such as,

· ICH-Q3 risk assessments and testing strategies

· Establishment of an end-to-end process for materials management (raw materials, process consumables, single-use components).

· Translate GMP and regulatory expectations into robust risk management strategies, ensuring compliance and reliable manufacturing & supply.

Key responsibilities

· Lead and author ICH Q3 risk assessments:

· Perform risk identification, quantification, and control strategy definition for process-related impurities derived from materials of construction of product contact materials.

· Define and justify risk monitoring testing strategies using ICH Q9 principles and product knowledge.

· Lead process materials management:

· Own the lifecycle of process materials from specification through qualification, use, and change control.

· Establish material requirements and critical attributes; create critical materials qualification protocols and reports i.e for single use systems (SUS).

· Implement whenever necessary dual sourcing or alternate materials, and identify obsolescence risks

· Technical stewardship and investigations:

· Lead material- or process related impurities deviations, root cause analyses, and CAPAs.

· New product introductions and tech transfer: Assess site start-up readiness and timelines with respect to new process materials.

Minimum qualifications, skills and competencies

· MS in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.

· 5+ years (Scientist/Engineer) in MSAT, Process Development, Quality, or related GMP manufacturing role in pharma/biotech.

· Hands-on experience performing and defending drug product risk assessments (e.g. ICH Q3C and Q3D assessments)

· Demonstrated knowledge of raw material/process material qualification and specification setting in a GMP environment.

· Strong knowledge of cGMPs and ICH guidelines (Q3 series, Q7, Q8, Q9, Q10; for biologics also Q11), BPOG, USP <665>/<1663>/<1664>) and materials of construction.

· Experience with supplier technical management and dual-source/alternate material qualification.

· Clear technical writing and presentation skills;

· English C1 level and preferably understands and speaks French.
