They are on the look-out for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their business on a full-time permanent basis where you will be responsible for optimising and enhancing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production operations.

Key Responsibilities as a Manufacturing Engineer:

• Identify and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing techniques.
• Provide hands-on technical support to resolve manufacturing issues.

This role is a great opportunity to work on projects for our customers, across a diverse portfolio in both the UK and India. You will also get to work closely with some of the most innovative biotech and pharma companies on their most important programs.

The Role

·      You will join a team that identifies, develops and optimises synthetic routes and processes to APIs and intermediates, supporting both early and late phase development.

·      The successful candidate will have a strong technical grounding in Organic Chemistry with significant experience in a relevant industry and a BSc, MSc or PhD with a specialism in Organic Synthesis or Process Chemistry.

·      Demonstrated expertise in early, mid or late-phase route and process development for the manufacture of APIs, intermediates and raw materials, and/or experience with quality by design, technology transfer and commercial production would also be advantageous.

·      The candidate is expected to conduct practical, laboratory-based chemistry projects to develop routes and processes and then scale-up to manufacture

·      The candidate should be able to lead chemistry projects as required to develop routes and processes and then scale-up to manufacture.

We are seeking a proactive Quality Assurance Officer to support and enhance quality standards across the organisation. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will help maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and industry best practice, ensuring our products, services, and processes consistently meet high standards.

A key part of the role is managing Calibration and Equipment Maintenance records, ensuring all tools and equipment are serviced and calibrated within required timeframes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of QA policies and procedures in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Achillies UVDB, and ConstructionLine Gold requirements.
• Carry out audits, inspections, and tests to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Analyse quality data, recommending corrective and preventive actions where required.
• Maintain accurate documentation including test results, audits, and non‑conformance reports.
• Collaborate with teams across engineering, projects, and service operations.
• Provide training on quality standards and procedures.
• Investigate customer complaints and support timely resolution.

Calibration & Equipment Maintenance

• Maintain accurate calibration and equipment maintenance records.
• Ensure all measurement tools and equipment are serviced and calibrated on schedule.

Supplier Quality

• Manage the supplier approval process and maintain the Quality Audit Plan.
• Support supplier performance monitoring and development activities.

About You

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 (Achillies UVDB/ConstructionLine Gold desirable).
• Understanding of calibration processes and quality measurement equipment.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving capability.
• Competent IT skills, including MS Word and Excel (SAP B1 desirable).

• Download and organize plans, specs, and proposals for upcoming and existing projects.
• Compile and prepare a bid list, order bid bonds, organize and fill out all documents for a bid.
• Scan all quotes received and organize them accordingly.
• Create and process purchase orders, change orders, subcontractor agreements, invoices, force account billings, pay estimates, submittals, check requests, and other documents.
• Prepare documents prior to and attend project meetings when necessary.
• Create Purchase Orders and Subcontracts with information from the project staff and maintain a shared tracking log for status while ensuring compliance for the project duration.
• Process pay applications on projects with backup documentation including change orders.
• Print certified payroll as needed for project staff.
• Create and edit documents as direct
• Input data into material tracking logs (concrete, rebar, stone, trucking, LEO’s, etc.)
• Draft correspondence for supervisor’s signature, as directed
• Receive tickets from jobsite and scan/upload to folders as needed
• Process general administrative work (check requests, etc.)
• Perform additional assignments as directed by the Project Controls Manager.

QA Manager

I’m currently supporting a pharmaceutical organisation in Essex with the search for a Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality activities across GxP operations. This role would suit someone with strong GMP and GDP quality management experience, or is interested in stepping into a broader leadership role within a Pharmaceutical Quality System.

This is a key position within the quality function, responsible for overseeing quality systems, supporting regulatory inspections, and ensuring compliance across the import, storage, manufacture and distribution of medicinal products.

The Role

As QA Manager, you will take responsibility for maintaining and continuously improving the Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS) while providing leadership across GxP-related quality activities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and support ongoing quality improvements across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide quality leadership across GxP activities including the import, storage, manufacture and distribution of medicinal products
• Manage and continuously improve the Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS)
• Oversee the self-inspection programme and support both internal and external GMDP audits
• Host and support regulatory inspections and customer audits
• Support site validation activities and maintain the Validation Master Plan (VMP)
• Manage supplier qualification activities and progress Quality Technical Agreements (QTAs)
• Review batch records to ensure QA requirements are met prior to certification by the Qualified Person (QP)
• Lead or support deviation investigations, change controls and root cause analysis
• Mentor and support the development of junior quality team members

Experience & Background

• Experience within Quality Assurance in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector
• Strong working knowledge of GMP and GDP regulations
• Experience operating within Quality Management Systems (QMS) or Pharmaceutical Quality Systems (PQS)
• Previous involvement in deviation management, change control and investigation processes
• Experience supporting regulatory inspections and audits
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across departments
