SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

Role Purpose:

• Be an enabler and leader to achieve excellence in business decision making
• Be a strong finance business partner to Manufacturing Head at Singapore site by ensuring a robust analysis of the business i.e. manufacturing and supply chain operations and financial information to support decision making of key leaders of the site

Major Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage Annual Budgeting Process. Planning of capital expenditures, operational costs and headcounts together with Local Manufacturing Head and Management team
• Monthly monitoring of Plan vs. Actual and initiation of action measures in case of deviations
• Lead and manage Quarterly Forecast: Review the budget, analyze and adjust it together with Manufacturing Head to fulfill company targets
• Lead the Performance Management: Prepare and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the entire operation function of Pepperl+Fuchs Singapore, highlight big deviations to target, align with Management team to initiate actions to close gap. Coordinate with Manufacturing Heads to update KPI bowler chart for monthly plant performance review
• Prepare analysis and comments of financial statements in accordance with local gaap and group gaap. Perform month-end, quarterly and year-end closing activities such as cross charges, allocation, intrabooking… and finalize the monthly P&L statement. Monitor and prepare transfer price calculation and coordination in connection with the operational result and P&L statement
• Coordinate with Tax department for financial-related topics e.g. implement a new cross charges, adjust transfer pricing, annual audiT
• Monitor the Standard Costing updates: Run and analyze result of yearly product mass costing following company guidelines; calculate product cost for new item; support and provide product cost simulation for improvement/ transfer projects
• Monitor Cost Center Reporting: Set-up and maintenance of cost center structure. Monthly monitoring and analysis of Plan vs. Actual
• Plan, coordinate and run cross functional projects related to improvement and optimization of manufacturing and supply chain processes. Support operational decision-making through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and insights from performance measurement
• Lead and support for internal improvement projects e.g. online report, automation, template

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or Controlling
• More than 5 years’ experience in Performance and Financial Analysis
• Very good IT skills, e.g. Excel, Access, PowerQuery, DWH
• Very good analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good knowledge in Budget Planning, Product Costing Concept and P&L statement analysis
• Experience in Key Performance Indicator analysis

• Develop, configure, and modify Control Modules (CM), Equipment Modules (EM), and Phase logic, including CMI/EMI modules.

Job Summary

Reporting to the APAC Vertical Quality Head directly, the Team Leader Third Party and Site Quality Operations Support, APAC is accountable for providing Quality Operations support to internal Viatris sites in the APAC region and 2nd level oversight of a team of Quality professionals providing quality oversight of ca. 50 key contractors in the APAC External Supply portfolio.

This is highly independent position operating with minimal supervision, interacting with high levels of management both at contract manufacturers and within Viatris. The scope of this role includes provision of excellent quality operations support to both internal Viatris sites and contract manufacturers via the Third-Party Quality Singapore Team. This encompasses budget and resources planning, leading quality improvement initiatives, quality performance metrics / quality dashboard for third party vendors, quality strategic planning, quality goals and objectives and quality specific projects. The incumbent is accountable for providing leadership support to the Third-Party Quality APAC Team Leader in establishing compliance with marketing authorizations, specifications, regulations and other applicable standards for all Starting Materials, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and Drug product manufactured by Third Party Vendors. The incumbent conducts all activities and makes decisions that are in accordance with Company Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Viatris Values and global regulatory guidelines (including cGMP / cGLP / cGDP, environmental and safety guidelines).

Key Responsibilities

Internal Viatris Sites

• Ensure that Viatris Quality Policies and all relevant Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements for the manufacture of Starting Materials, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Drug products are implemented and consistently followed.
• Develop site colleagues in their understanding of Viatris Quality Policy requirements and provide advice and coaching on the effective implementation of Quality Policies at sites.
• Support preparation of regulatory agency and internal audit responses and ensure they are appropriate in content and well written.
• Support preparation and implementation of Quality/Compliance Remediation Programs.
• Develop systems and practices at the sites to promote a quality culture and ensure compliance with cGMP.
• Provide guidance on CQN/escalation and quality risk assessments when required for significant deviations and complaints.
• Identify opportunities to enhance internal site Quality systems in a resource efficient manner, review for feasibility with sites and APAC Vertical Quality Head
• Lead/support initiatives to optimize synergistic opportunities across the regional verticals by participating in local and global quality teams.
• Support implementation of any agreed upon changes pertaining to quality and compliance enhancement at internal sites.

Third Party Quality

• Provide 2nd level leadership to the Third-Party Quality APAC Team consisting of Contractor Quality Leads (CQL) and Quality Systems and Quality Systems & Operational Support (QS&OS) colleagues.
• Develop TPQ APAC Team Leader and colleagues in their understanding of Viatris Quality Policy requirements and provide advice and coaching on the effective implementation of Quality Policies.
• Identify opportunities to enhance TPQ APAC Quality systems in a resource efficient manner, review for feasibility with team and APAC Vertical Quality Head
• Ensure that all relevant Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements for the manufacture of Starting Materials, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Drug products are implemented and consistently followed at all Third-Party Vendors managed by the APAC team.
• Ensure Quality Agreements are in place with Third-Party Vendors and internal Viatris parties, as appropriate.
• Ensure Critical Quality Event (CQN) summaries are raised within required timelines and participate in relevant meetings for third party vendors.
• Evaluate and, where appropriate, ensure implementation of new regulatory standards in a timely manner at third party vendors.
• Ensure team members participate as active members of the Virtual Site Oversight Teams. Contribute to the overall leadership and management of the External Supply operation and to the achievement of goals.
• Lead/support initiatives to optimize synergistic opportunities across the regional verticals by participating in local and global quality teams.
• Develop and maintain the Third-Party Quality APAC budget and staffing to fulfill site quality responsibilities.
• Ensure timely and compliant qualification of new Third-Party vendors and ensure Viatris Third Party quality Team provides quality support for technical transfers.

Leader Accountabilities:

• Develop excellent relationships with internal site Quality Leads, Site Leads and Global Quality colleagues.
• Work with the Vertical Quality Head to make decisions on internal site and Third-Party quality issues.
• Be knowledgeable in processes and procedures, including the principles and practices of good data management (ALCOA), and be able to guide, advise and coach the teams.
• Be accountable for the Good Data Management and Data integrity understanding and performance of Third-Party Quality APAC team.
• Effectively monitor the actions of own team. Ensure an active daily contact to monitor the work activity and practices within their role responsibilities.

Organizational Relationships

• The incumbent will interact with all Viatris internal and External Supply functions, related operations and activities, i.e. Supply Chain, Technical, Sourcing, Finance and EHS. In the event of quality or regulatory related issues, this position will interact with quality or regulatory representatives from internal Viatris sites or Global Chemistry Manufacturing & Compliance (GCMC) teams.

Candidates are expected to have the following qualifications, skills, and experience.

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills, and experiences:

• Bachelor’s degree in science, Pharmacy, Engineering or related discipline
• Post-graduate qualification in a Science, Engineering or management discipline e.g. MSc, MBA, PhD, is well regarded.
• Minimum 12+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry with at least 5 years in leadership positions within Quality Assurance / Quality Control.
• Knowledge of Validation processes and requirements.
• API pharmaceutical and solid dose drug product knowledge and experience well regarded.

Qualifications:

Diploma in chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Leather Technology, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in production, process engineering, or continuous improvement within manufacturing, leather industry experience preferred.

• Drives and develops the regional EM&S vision in partnership with global EM&S, for pharmaceutical and biologics CMOs
• Develops the strategy for EM&S across the Region, with direct accountability for external manufacturing operational performance, including on-time in-full supply, COGS management, capacity management and business continuity planning.
• A key member of the Product Supply (PS) department, provides strategic input and ensures alignment with senior stakeholders to ensure the attainment of the company’s short- and long-term goals.
• Implements and leads Supplier Relationship Teams (SRTs) to manage the key strategic partners, acting as the virtual plant manager for the CMO, with matrix responsibility for cross-functional team members such as Quality, Planning, Procurement, Project Management and MS&T. Ensures optimal supplier relationship management and the seamless delivery of products to meet the needs of the business.
• Negotiates and runs RFPs to ensure the continuity of product supply requirements and delivers timely execution of Technical Transfer projects, for existing and new product launches.
• Leads external manufacturing and sourcing in a cost-efficient manner, developing quantitative performance monitoring and the rollout of relevant KPI’s that can be used as a platform to continuously improve supply from external manufacturers.
• Builds a quality ethos into all decisions and processes, reinforcing the implementation of Santen’s Global Tech Transfer Process (GTTP) standards to support Make-or-Buy decisions, Supplier Selection, Technology Transfers and the Management of Commercial Products.
• Owns and controls the regional EM&S budget including capital investments with external partners, technical transfer expenses and other expenses needed to support the life cycle management of the products.
• Drives change management and continuous improvement of EM&S, driving end-to-end value creation projects across the total supply chain to deliver competitive advantage for the business.
• Provides due diligence evaluation and advice on new sourcing and external manufacturing business opportunities in partnership with the Business Development (BD) team. Manages the integration and set up of new BD suppliers and represents Santen on external governance committees, such as Joint Manufacturing Committees.
• Negotiates and executes legal contracts, together with the Legal and BD teams, including Manufacturing & Supply Agreements and Technical Transfer Agreements, structuring such contracts in an optimal manner to ensure the security of long-term supply and the protection of the Santen business

• Ten years plus experience in product supply and manufacturing in the pharmaceutical industry and/or the biologics industry
• Experience and solid track record in leading and managing external manufacturing suppliers in Asia
• Solid understanding of the drug development process, of GMP requirements and the manufacturing of sterile products. Cell and gene therapy awareness an advantage
• Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain management requirements
• Experience in a matrix organization, operating and communicating with senior level management, both internally and externally, and managing interdepartmental processes.
