The role:

As a Quality Engineer you will ensure all machining operations produce components that consistently meet design intent, compliance, and customer specifications.

You will provide technical quality support across all machining disciplines, drive continuous‑process improvement and act as the main point of contact for quality control, inspection, and compliance matters within the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

• Process & Product Validation – define and validate machining process flows, inspection plans, and metrology requirements for new parts and batches.
• Quality Assurance & Control – manage defects and drive corrective actions in accordance with AS9100.
• Support Capability & Statistical Control – support the calculation of CP, CPK, LSL/USL, and other SPC metrics.
• Root Cause Analysis – Lead RCCA for quality incidents and implement corrective/action plans.
• Documentation & Reporting – Produce and maintain comprehensive quality documentation and KPIs.
• Continuous Improvement – Champion initiatives; mentor operators on quality centric practices.
• Compliance – Support audit activities and maintenance of certifications (AS9100)
• Cross Functional Collaboration – Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Tooling teams to resolve design to manufacturing challenges.
• Key Deliverables
• A verified inspection SOP for each new component.
• Monthly CP/CPK trend reports and actions.
• Root‑cause analysis logs with action‑item close‑out.
• Audit‑ready documentation and evidence packages.

Skills required:

• 3–5 years in a machining environment in a quality engineering or quality control capacity. Experience with high‑precision aerospace or automotive parts is highly desirable.
• Possess detailed knowledge and proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct root‑cause analysis (5‑why, fishbone, FMEA) and drive actionable improvements.
• Works autonomously under limited supervision; collaborates effectively (Stakeholder Management) with operators, engineers, and supplier quality engineers
• Clear verbal and written communication; ability to produce concise technical reports for non‑technical audiences.

• Assist in planning coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods
• Sign for goods received into the warehouse, update stock system, advise Campaign Managers of the delivery
• Check and inspect goods received and ensuring they are of accurate quantity, type, and acceptable quality

• Manage the installation, modification, maintenance and service of operational electronic surveillance and communications equipment.
• Provide management and guidance to specialist teams, ensuring a high level of technical expertise, advice and service to the technology, projects and communications systems used by the Unit.

• Estimating & overseeing Production of all forms of Below the Line materials including Printed Materials, POS Displays, Packaging, GWP & Promotional Materials.

• Work with all major tunnel‑plant systems, including EPB TBM, spoil conveyor, MSV, ventilation, backfill grout plant, water treatment plant, power and water supply, material handling systems, and cross‑passage excavation equipment.
• Carry out daily maintenance activities, primarily on the TBM, ensuring equipment reliability and minimal downtime.
• Coordinate with the TBM Mechanical Superintendent and mechanical engineers to manage spare parts, servicing needs and maintenance priorities.

Stores Co-Ordinator / Forklift operator

Major Responsibilities:

• Support Inventory controller and Operations Supervisor with the purchasing for production and workshop activities.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders on inventory related matters
• Ensure all materials, components, and parts are stored in correct location and stock levels are accurate
• Support and report appropriate physical inventory levels to prevent shortages and bottlenecks.

·        Managing inwards goods and putting stock away

·        Picking and preparing outgoing orders

·        Loading and unloading trucks and customer vehicles

·        Maintaining workshop presentation

·        Stock inventory

·        Deliveries

·        Workshop support

To be successful in this role:

·        Clean driver's licence is essential

·        Car licence (C class) required

·        Minimum 2+ years forklift experience

·        Valid forklift licence required at commencement

·        Physically fit — manual lifting and handling required daily

·        Strong work ethic and a "get in and get it done" mindset

·        Australian work authorisation required

·        Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to a supportive team environment

• 2 years' experience in similar role

• Hold a current Australian Air Transport Pilots Licence (ATPL)
• Low Level Rating
• Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) Rating
• Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating - 5 Renewals
• Minimum 2500 hours total time
• Minimum 1500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) Helicopter
• Minimum 500 hours Night PIC Helicopter
• Minimum 1500 hours Multi-Engine PIC Helicopter
• Minimum 1200 hours Turbine Helicopter
• Minimum 100 hours NVIS Operations
• Hold or be eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
• Valid Class 1 Aviation Medical
• A comprehensive understanding of CASR 1998 Part 119, 133 and Part 138 and strong track record of operating compliantly and leading a workforce in that environment.

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of electrical and communications construction projects
• Establish and manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and reporting
• Plan, coordinate, and resource work to meet programme and contractual requirements
• Lead site teams, including forepersons, leading hands, apprentices, and subcontractors
• Negotiate, assess, and finalise variations and progress claims
• Maintain strong client, consultant, and supplier relationships
• Ensure full compliance with Stowe and client HSEQ systems, plans, and procedures
• Oversee quality management plans, ITPs, inspections, and commissioning
• Coordinate procurement, subcontractor engagement, and supplier performance
• Monitor and manage risk, safety, and performance outcomes across projects
  
  

• Current Electrical Licence and/or Trade Qualified Electrician (essential)
• Qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management (preferred)
• Proven experience delivering commercial electrical or fit-out projects
• Strong financial, contractual, and production control skills
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational abilities
