PT Arnott's Indonesia is a multinational company with brand Good Time and Nyam Nyam. We are looking for a Packaging Development Technologist to hands on delivery for packaging development for Snacking International projects. This is a 12 - months contract role, based in Bekasi.

Responsibilities:

1. Execute accurately and efficiently based on the SOP for the packaging development project to agreed standard, costs, and time frames following agreed activity on NPD/Co-man Renovation and Packaging Sustainability projects.
2. Contributes required technical information to generate specifications by consulting with the Manager. Ensures all projects are fully and accurately documented. Supports launches by assisting in troubleshooting during the handover period.
3. Assist in the delivery of long-term innovation projects and Enabler Projects.Support packaging technical research to ensure the packaging material works as per standard.
4. Support Development activity to make sure Packaging Artwork before print to supplier within the Packaging guideline and with clear information on Packaging Specification, and Packing Instruction
5. Proactively develops self-awareness of packaging trends, innovative packaging and technologies to facilitate the development of new and / or improved Packaging Quality and/or consistent processes / systems

Ingredients you will need to be successful in this role:

• Min. Bachelor's degree with a Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Chemical Engineering background.
• Having experience in the FMCG industry, with a minimum of 2 years, good knowledge of general FMCG Packaging, Manufacturing Systems, and Processes.
• Familiar with lab equipment and tools
• Excellent in English – both in verbal and written
• Understand Basic Principles of Packaging material: Flexible film, Rigid Plastic, Paper, Corrugated, and Tins Material.
• Basic knowledge packaging technology process : Converting process, printing application, plastic molding process.

• Responsible for the safety of employees in the Paper Mill (#2, #4, #5 Paper Machines and the Shipping Department. This is done by auditing employees and areas for unsafe habits and conditions, Toolbox meetings, and safety discussions.

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans tailored to our Paper & Pulp Manufacturing sector, identifying key growth opportunities and setting realistic yet challenging sales targets.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, including marketing, operations, and customer service, to ensure a unified approach to achieving sales goals.
• Lead and mentor a team of sales representatives, fostering a positive and motivating work environment that encourages high performance and continuous learning.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments in the paper and pulp manufacturing sector, leveraging insights to inform sales strategies.
• Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing deals.
• Regularly track and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the Paper & Pulp / Manufacturing industry.
• Proven track record in territory sales and managing a high-performing sales team.
• Strong knowledge of the paper industry and manufacturing processes, with a particular focus on rolls services.
• Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving sales targets.
• Strong customer engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
• Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills, with a knack for closing deals.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

• Provide technical and operating support to departments, support groups, and hourly operations employees in the areas of optimization, energy, cost savings, technical and process studies, technology implementation and operator training.
• Assignments will include completion of projects and development activities to prepare for operation and maintenance positions as vacancies occur.
• Work to enhance skill development while gaining orientation of various process areas.
  
  

• BS Degree in engineering required (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Paper Science, or Environmental).

• Co-op or Intern experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  
  

• Starting salary range for position: $85,000 to $127,200.
