The purpose of the Public Administration Student Association (PASA) is to provide professional development, career advancement, and networking opportunities for Public Administration students. As a group, we strive to learn from one another and apply that knowledge to improve the greater Charlotte community. TheStudent Association (PASA) is affiliated with the Gerald G. Fox Master ofProgram at UNC Charlotte. According to U.S. News & World Report, this program ranks 13th in the nation for public management and leadership and is the top-ranked MPA program in North Carolina.

The objective of this group is to facilitate the dialogue and mutual learning between stakeholders in enhancing institutional capacity and promoting efficient public administration with the support of the European Structural and Investment Funds/ESF. The group brings together policy-makers, practitioners and project managers to share experience in capacity building, administrative development and innovation, and discuss approaches to tackling common issues. The group serves both as a platform for bottom-up input of practice and findings on governance and, and also a top-down channel to disseminate knowledge. The group aims to create a community of PA/PM researchers researching the role and implications of emerging technologies in the public sector. The group will serve as a platform for the dissemination of research, special issues, conference activities, and similar academic work that could be of interest to the community.

The MPA program, housed in the Department of Public & International Affairs in the College of Arts & Sciences, is an interdisciplinary, terminal professional degree. The MPA program at UNCW is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and(NASPAA).
