With its label of authenticity, the association of Belgian Family Brewers wants to offer the consumer a guarantee of the origin and traditional production of authentic Belgian beers. With more than 500 beers, Belgium is definitely "the land of beer". As market figures confirm, Belgium's annual beer output is 18 310 726 hl, 55% of which is for export. Yet despite this, beer lovers in Belgium and abroad have no guarantee that they are buying a genuinely original and traditional Belgian beer. Thanks to the quality label that Belgian Family Brewers launched on 8 November 2007, there will be no further doubts about the Belgian origin and the traditional production process of these regional or special beers.
