The decibel performing arts showcase is a biennial initiative providing an opportunity for artists to present their work to performing arts professionals from the UK and overseas. In turn, delegates looking to broaden their offer to audiences can preview exciting new ideas and make useful connections with innovative artists and companies. This group provides an open forum for discussion and promotion of diverse practice in the performing arts sector.

On the occasion of completing 60 years of Indo-German diplomatic relations, a fifteen-month collaborative celebration titled “Germany and India 2011-2012: Infinite Opportunities” has been held in India from September 2011 to November 2012. With a thematic focus on “StadtRäume – CitySpaces”, this programme series across India will broach the implications of rapid urbanisation and challenges posed by the fast changes in cities of both countries today. Issues like mobility, energy, sustainable city development, architecture, cultural spaces, education and urban art will be prominently featured touching genres such asand visual, science, education, technology and business, etc. The centrepiece of the project is the “Mobile Space”, a set of modern multi-purpose pavilions, designed especially for the Year of Germany in India by renowned German artist Markus Heinsdorff. The pavilions combine state of the art steel and textile technologies from both countries. The “Mobile Space” will be set up for ten days each in Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata and New Delhi and will host interactive presentations by various German corporations and organisations on topics and solutions related to “StadtRäume – CitySpaces”. The project is being initiated by the following partners: The German Federal Foreign Office, the Goethe-Institut, the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA) and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The project is managed by the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan New Delhi. Amongst the corporate partners of the project aresuch as Bajaj Allianz, BASF, Bosch, Deutsche Bank and Siemens.

The BC Arts Alumni Network brings together alumni who participate in the arts in a variety of ways including: practitioners in the visual, performing, literary, or media arts; administrators of arts related companies; and arts philanthropists. Founded in 1998, diSiac Dance Company has grown to become one of the most widely respected and acclaimed groups on campus at Princeton University. With a strong focus in both hip-hop and lyrical/contemporary dance styles, we nevertheless strive to push the limits of performance and movement beyond categorization. diSiac is one of two student-run danceat Princeton that has had the honor ofin the professional Berlind Theatre thus far. diSiac is the first student-run dance company to participate in the Student Artist-in-Residence Program through Richardson Auditorium. Our bi-annual shows aim to achieve exceptional creativity through a variety of styles. We are also committed to hosting a variety of guest workshops with leading choreographers every semester. Our diSi-fans, drawn in by the entertainment that our shows promise, consistently fill our large venues. diSiac is proud of our dancers who come from a variety of backgrounds, from having no previous dance experience to professional level training.
