This group is for Master's of Public Administration (MPA) and Master's of Public Policy (MPP) students and alumni from around the globe, as well as prospective students and faculty. The group focuses on supporting the careers of those in the public and nonprofit sectors. It's managed by a former communications director of NASPAA, the global association of public affairs schools.

The mission of the NFBPA is embodied in the organization's commitment to strengthen the position of Blacks within the field of public administration; and to groom and prepare younger, aspiring administrators for senior public management posts in the years ahead.

We have spent over 100 years serving our members and supporting their efforts to improve the public’s health by improving and advancing the field of health administration. Founded in 1908, the original title of our section was the Municipal Health Officers section. By 1912, the section became known as theHealth Officers section, and finally became known as the HealthSection in 1916. Over this long history, our section has served the needs of APHA members involved in health administration, particularly in local health departments. Today, our membership reflects the field of public health. Anyone working to improve the public’s health and engaged in administration and leadership activities finds the Health Administration Section to be a tremendous place to learn, network, and share ideas. Public Sector is undergoing a phase of deep transformation to cope with emerging societal challenges. On the one hand, disruptive technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Big Data and IoT offer administrations a way to provide better, more tailored services and provide governments with the tools to deliver those better services more efficiently as well. On the other hand, digital technology is giving citizens themselves a greater say in shaping the servicescan offer, allowing citizens themselves to “co-create” a new generation of enhanced services and greatly contributing to the level of citizen agency in its relationship to the state. In this group, top policymakers, researchers, theorists, management consultants, and practitioners examine the burgeoning movement towards transformation ofled by the combination of disruptive technologies and “co-creation”, with a specific focus of value creation in public services. This group was created within the CROSSOVER project funded by the EC FP7 program and merged with the eGovPoliNet project. Furthermore, this group integrates the community developed in the EC H2020 project Big Policy Canvas. Currently. the EC H2020 project Co-VAL maintains and enhances the Community created.
