The Denver Association of Petroleum Landmen’s fourth annual Feel the Energy 5K run/walk takes place on Saturday, April 12, 2014 in Denver’s City Park. Along with our nonprofit partners, the DAPL is committed to promoting good will and good health year-round and our run/walk is an important part of this commitment. This year’s race will benefit Freedom Service Dogs, Girls on the Run-Denver and YouthBiz, three fantastic Denver-based nonprofit organizations whose missions align with our goals of inspiring youth and adults alike, along with their four-footed friends, to get out and “feel the energy.” There will be a post-race celebration with activities for kids and dogs, a beer garden, and an array of food and education vendors. UC Berkeley Alumni in the South Bay area of Los Angeles: Playa Del Rey, El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance, Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Hawthorne, Gardena and Lomita. We hold fun social events like trips to craft breweries, wine, food, watching CAL sports at local bars and even bus trips to view games live, a holiday party and more! We host academic events as well, including hosting guest speakers to discuss various topics and supporting scholarships for students applying to CAL. Our mission is to provide a fun and safe environment for CAL Alumni to network and foster valuable relationships.

HISTORY ~ On April 14, 2016 at the University Club in downtown San Diego, the Veterans Beer Club (VBC) was created from the collaboration between VBC Founders Kevin Cortes, Brian Grana, and Phil Kendro. The concept of keeping in contact with fellow veterans and bringing veteran-friendly civilian workforce members together was a recurring topic of conversation between them. The first “official” VBC was held at Second Chance Brewing Company in Rancho Bernardo, with six ex officio members in June 2016. Vision & Purpose ~ The VBC vision is a monthly rotation of gatherings with fellow veterans and current transitioning veterans at different brewery locations in this chapter across Lincoln, NE and surrounding communities (maybe we field trip to another chapter's event in the future) The VBC purpose is to discuss important transition events and continued service after military life while enjoying the ever-popular craft brew in a relaxed environment. No dues, no drama. Who We Are 1. “We are beer aficionados and servant leaders with a networking problem” 2. The culture VBC seeks is a relaxed, informal veteran-networking environment, held at myriad Lincoln NE craft(we could go to San Diego where it all started) 3. Provide a venue for honest dialogue, feedback, and endorsement of those organizations who truly follow through on their promise to “help or hire” veterans 4. Serve transitioning veterans by providing and endorsing quality upcoming events; and those to avoid 5. Each member will strive to bring in additional veterans and VBC will selectively invite influential community and corporate leaders -for cameo appearances- to discuss what they need and what they know veterans need to do for a successful transition in Nebraska. 6. Measure VBC success by individual transition successes (i.e. interviews)
