How to store energy in large enough amounts is the next big question facing mankind in its bid to conquer nature and break the cycle of dependence on power generation to power consumption. Since the 1790s when Alessandro Volta invented the first, it has seen many iterations and versions, each more efficient than its previous version. National Transmission & Despatch Company (NTDC) Limited was incorporated on 6th November, 1998 and commenced commercial operation on 24th December, 1998.
