I have been bookmarking news articles for some time, planning to create a historical timeline primarily in relation to the Canadian real estate market including some International and World news events as they often have significance. It occurred to me that some of my connections would be interested in some of the same stories and issues, so why not simply share those bookmarks/ links with you as I gather them. I could post these to my main feed however, I find there is so much content in general that I am often bombarded by irrelevant posts, while missing out on more relevant issues. I can assume others in my connections feel the same, so rather than spam everyone I’ll invite those who I think may be interested and bombard them. All kidding aside, I don’t have time for that but hopefully, you find this interesting, relevant, and possibly engaging. On occasion, I may go back into my archive and reference historical articles but for now, I'll just share current articles. I generally focus on those articles not behind paywalls, so unless you have subscribed to a dozen different newsthat, in itself, may be worth the price I'm charging...free LOL. (I'm not posting anything that's not already shared, just sourcing it primarily from google searches. etc.) If you're interested in seeing what news articles I find of interest as a Real Estate Appraiser, please feel free to join me. I do focus a bit on local Central Okanagan, Thompson Nicola, Columbia Shuswap, and Kootenays stories as well but I'll try to keep those to a minimum on this page focusing on broader topics. The Glendora Historical Society was founded in 1947 to help preserve the history of the people, Glendora, and the area around Glendora, "The Upper San Gabriel Valley" and make it available to future generations. The Society has two properties for the public to visit: The Museum at 314 N Glendora Ave, open most Saturdays 11:00AM to 2:00PM and the Rubel Castle at 844 N Live Oak Av. They occur at 7:00 PM in the Bidwell Forum of the Glendora Public Library, located at 140 S Glendora Ave on the fourth Mondays of the months of January, March, May, July, September, and November. The meetings feature different speakers presenting a wide range of interesting topics. Membership The membership dues of the Society are $15.00 per year. The fiscal year starts June 1st.
