Purple Tie Affair is 100% Volunteer driven by a group of people that had long participated in Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's TEAM IN TRAINING Sports Endurance and Charity fundraising program. Through the years we had seen SO MANY individuals and corporate groups/family groups benefit from this uplifting and fulfilling program; especially non-athletes; that we felt strongly that we needed to spread the word on sharing the benefits while creating an unforgettable night of dancing, music, friendship and stories. The inaugural Purple Tie Affair in 2014 was a smashing success. Our hopes of getting 100-200 people were surpassed when nearly 300 supporters had what their pictures show reflected - the unforgettable night we were working for. Thanks to an overly-successful first-year Purple Tie Affair, combined with subsequent Team in Training individual and corporate events, over $100,000 was raised to benefit blood cancer research and related patient services.
