Capital Science Communicators is an association of science writers and communicators serving California’s Capital Region — Sacramento, Davis, and beyond. About Our Name: “CapSciComm” takes its name after the pepper plant genus Capsicum—a nod to the Central Valley’s horticultural heritage — and continues a theme of science writers networks with organism mascots (SCONC, SWINY, DCSWA). The Public Relations Association of Central Illinois (PRA) is an organization of public relations, marketing and communication professionals from corporate organizations, small businesses and not-for-profit agencies. Freelancers and entrepreneurs also find membership to PRA rewarding. During our monthly luncheon meetings, we offer presentations (September through May) by top professionals in their fields who share the latest information on public relations topics, including new marketing tools, strategies and trends. PRSSA is the student chapter of the professional national organization PRSA. We provide UMN students with resources and a network to break into public relations. Our goal is to help our members with professional development, giving them opportunities to work on their writing skills with workshops and real client work. We bring in multiple speakers from agencies, nonprofits and corporations throughout the Twin Cities, and we plan a winter break trip for members to explore PR hubs outside Minnesota.

Carrying out studies and researches on various issues is another important activity of We Journalist also has a large list of its members; most of them are based on working journalism. The outcomes of these studies are published and disseminated immediately through organizing seminars, press conference and other means. The We Journalist also monitors the trends in and operations of the media and undertakes different programmes to make the media more effective in carrying out its responsibility. The We Journalist undertakes programme of information, education, motivation on communication aspects of different issues of importance such as ecology, health and population, industry and development, politics and democracy, and plan and carry out such programmes for other agencies. It provides consultancy services to government and non-governmental organizations in policy and programme formulation relating to media, Environment, communication, journalism and public relations. It also assists in the production of manuals, reports, leaflets, brochures And booklets, translation and interpreter service covering, Sindhi, Urdu, English, and other languages.

CMAC is an invitation-only group created for the collaboration of the brightest executive minds in digital agencies and public relations firms. Beyond encouraging discourse and the sharing of new ideas, CMAC exists to provide insight into current and future marketing trends of digital agencies. We are currently gathering data on the state of content marketing and technology, the results of which will be published in May 2016.
