Our membership consists of approximately 600 public relations professionals from advertising and public relations agencies, corporations, non-profit organizations, government, education, industries and others. Students accepted into the program have access to their alumni mentor over the course of 6 months and discuss topics like industry trends, interview strategies, internship/job search process, taking advantage of the time at Rutgers, cover letter and resume critiques and networking. ANCORS is the primary, multidisciplinary centre for academic, professional and industry expertise in ocean law and policy in the Southern Hemisphere. We bring together teams of specialist lawyers, political scientists and international relations experts, geographers, marine biologists and social scientists to design, innovate and integrate ocean law, maritime management and marine policy. As a partner to governments, NGOs, international agencies and industry we translate evidence into practice to offer practical solutions to global challenges, public policy and commercial endeavours. Through a regular program of symposia, conferences, professional training, publications and lectures, ANCORS promotes interdisciplinary collaboration to address national, regional and international marine and maritime issues.

North Road Communications is a student-run public relations firm affiliated with the Marist College chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). The firm began as a senior capstone project in the spring of 2011 and was officially established in the fall of 2011. North Road Communications has a staff of approximately 20 students who are supported by faculty advisor, Jennie Donohue, and professional advisors from Ketchum, one of the world’s leading communications agencies.

We are committed to developing a robust public sector pipeline and engaging in challenging work and authentic dialogue to align programs and services that support public sector employment and training. Our goal is to establish Innovative Pathways to Public Service as the regional advisory body for promoting a public sector talent pipeline of diverse youth and young adults. Innovative Pathways to Public Service (IPPS) is focused on building bridges and working in new and strengthened relations. Together, the partners desire and are building a new paradigm of effective, data-driven strategies for attracting, developing and retaining talent. Through creative branding /marketing, partners can inspire a sustainable culture of innovation, increase diversity and ensure government employees resemble our communities. Through a collaborative, informal network, this dedicated cohort of stakeholders are champions of change in the development of and engagement with a new generation of the public sector workforce. IPPS began as a “public sector workforce pilot project” under two distinct grants.
