With compelling national content to focus attention and strong local services, public television and radio stations are conducting local efforts that: -Communicate veterans’ stories through journalism, documentaries and online content -Convene local events such as job fairs and town hall meetings that recognize veterans for their service and directly connect veterans with resources, support and veterans service organizations. -Collaborate with local organizations to better coordinate and publicize local services, facilitate dialogue, and connect more veterans with a healthy path. The course Media & Entertainment Management prepares students for managerial positions in - Television and radio broadcasting; - Film production/ distribution; - Advertising/ communication agencies; - Theatre; - Printed Media; - Event organisations (media related). The students are on workplacement in the first fulltime 20 weeks of the 3rd year. Placement criteria • Placement period: 5 September 2011– 23 of January 2012 (starting a few weeks earlier is possible). • Examples of placement jobs are assisting in the Marketing, Sales, Events, Production department in a media related company and completing a number of assignments defined by the NHTV. • The placement and/or assignment should have a demonstrable connection with the field of Media and Entertainment Management. • The company has to work /or have clients on a national or international level. • The company has to have at least 5 full time employees on the payroll (freelancers and volunteers not included). • The activities to be carried out by the student should be at a higher (university) level. NetTalk Live is a broadcasting history case study in merged media and interactivity and developed into a Syndicated program that aired 244 Original episodes over the course of an amazing TV syndication run of 19 original TV seasons. Conceptualized and created in 1994, and tested as an original series called “The Insiders”, NetTalk started broadcasting in June 1995 as a Two-Hour Talk Radio Show. Within weeks, the program (a weekend broadcast) was dominating the Talk Radio marketplace in the 5th largest Broadcast Market (Dallas) in the United States. The show’s creator (who also happened to be the Executive Producer, Producer, Director, Writer and Host of the series), developed the idea of turning the runaway hit into a “new type of hybrid broadcast” thus evolved the World’s First TRIPLECAST(1996).
