This is a networking group for the University of Minnesota Healthcare Management (HSM) degree students and prospective students, alumni, faculty, and staff in the healthcare industry to connect and share resources, contacts, information, and opinion. Areas of discussion can include the HSM offerings and updates, industry trends and needs,, and more. [NOTE: The program will officially change its name to Healthcare Management from its original name HealthManagement as of Fall semester 2025. However, we wanted to make the name change on LinkedIn as of January 2025, as a heads-up. The initialism HSM will not change.] Healthcare Management (HSM) is part of the degree-granting unit of the University of Minnesota College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS). HSM comprises the centerpiece credential Bachelor of Applied Science in Healthcare Management; a minor; and a certificate. Technical coursework is developed and taught in partnership with industry leaders and supplemented by essential instruction in business management and communication. Multidisciplinary, supportive, and flexible, the curriculum provides real-world-based preparation for success in high-demand health care related careers. This group is also supported by the Healthcare Management (HSM) Alumni Network Committee. The group was founded in 2019 as a committee of the Healthcare Management Advisory Board. The mission of the Network is to foster long-lasting benefits for the HSM program by enhancing the relationships formed between alumni and students . We hope to put together an association to lobby the Ontario Government for recognition as Health Care Professionals, providing a growing aging society, and a economically devastated population of unemployed with much needed health careoutside of traditional health care given by family physicians. We want the same rights to bill through OHIP as other health care professionals do. Only a hand full of clinics such as ours can bill through OHIP. The Liberal Government claims that no clinic since 1973 has been registered to be able to bill through OHIP. I believe that to be untrue, however I do believe times have changed dramatically since 1973. Needs have changed. Society has changed. We want to prove to the government that our Health Care services benefit doctors and hospitals by reducing the overload and majority of minor injuries such as strains, sprains and bruising our hospitals and doctors are having to deal with as a result of clinics such as our not having the ability to treat these people through OHIP.. We are requesting that everyone in the practice, be it a licensed professional therapist, Chiropractor, Massage therapist or owner of a clinic that providesto these professions sign up to be part of this Association. Without each other and the strength in numbers we will be taken advantage by those in power and by those that control the people in power, ie: Insurance Company's - Sept 1st/10 New SABS. This is what happens when you have no leverage. 99% of the people do not know what the insurance company's did to them.With an association we have numbers, we have voices, we have access to others to join with us to make fair and reasonable change. Do you have an enormous receivables account you can't collect ? Insurance refused to pay? Lawyers refused to pay upon settlement? Patients couldn't pay? FISCO not doing anything about it? I would bet doctors don't have this problem. You wouldn't either if you had a huge Association behind you,

The EY IT Services Alumni Group is a self-moderating group of former IT personnel who have worked at Ernst & Young. The immediate purpose of the group is to provide a vehicle to shareabout job searches and provide a forum for related discussions, including unemployment issues, the journey from EY employee to external job seeker, new employee, and decision maker/influencer in another firm. We strive to provide a safe and open forum for EY IT Services alumni to vent a frustration that doesn't need to get back to the firm. Consequently, we expect members of this forum to have transitioned or be transitioning away from employment at EY. Over the long term, we hope this group will evolve into a mechanism for former EY IT Services personnel to better build and leverage a network of colleagues throughout our professional careers.
