George Mason University's Department of Information Sciences and Technology produces graduates whose role in the modern enterprise focuses on the application of information technology to support business processes.

The objective of the group is for experienced members to provide helpful instructions (Guides)and to share experiences or lessons learned to Managers,Supervisors,Operators,Mechanics,and Technicians on the performance of preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance techniques,in order to maximize the efficiency of operations and the useful life of equipment,systems and structures to be able to minimize disruption of any services provided. The group is expected to list good practice guides and to follow industry standards, Managers,Maintenance staff and Contractors must exercise a measure of caution in the application of any guides recommended by any group member. Please remember to abide by all safety standards during the performance of any guide. The intent is generic in nature and is not intended to substitute for manufacture's instructions.
