The Indian Constitution envisages a Parliamentary Democracy, and a separation of powers between its three Wings- Legislature, Executive and Judiciary. In an effort to migrate from a developing to a developed nation, each wing of the govt. had to shed its conservative role and had to become more accountable to its ultimate customers, i.e. the citizens of this great country. It may be said that we, the Citizens can control the Legislature and hence the Executive since we vote out bad Governments and bring in good ones- at the time of elections. But we may have no control over the Judiciary. This is actually a wrong notion. The Legislature and the Executive control the purse strings of the Judiciary. Hence, unless funds are allocated , morecan not come up. Litgations and backlogs will continue. The govt. has enough money if it wants to set things right. The Govt. has however not focussed enough attention to this issue. Similarly, the Judiciary has not pressurised the Govt. enough in order to ensure that bad name on account of Judicial delays is not ascribed to it. However, in the ultimate analysis, it is the citizen of this Country who suffers. People are loathe to go toas their cases will drag on for years. Politicians and those who have resources have other means of getting what they want and hence may not be too affected by such a system ( does this not breed corruption). The Economy suffers. A robust and quick justice delivery system is essential for a progressive and fair economy. All developed Nations have a good justice delivery system and is the key reason for that Nation's prosperity. It is time we stop giving lack of resources as an excuse for everything. We need to Act. The govt can do its bit. But so can we. We can create awareness. We can pressurise the Govt. into allocating more resources for this task. There are several ideas. Let us discuss and Act

The definition of a legal interpreter is one who is certified or licensed by the state and federal courts (not every language is certifiable), also known as Certified Court Interpreters. These court interpreters and translators are highly specialized in simultaneous, sight, and consecutive modes and interpret in courtrooms and in legal settings every single day. They work under very stressful situations dealing with language and people. Newly certified interpreters are not prepared for every possible scenario. Ethical questions arise often and some interpreters rely on those who have been there before to guide and advice them.
