Allied Youth in mining Organisation is a recently formed organisation focusing on promoting youth participation and involvement in the mining sector through investments in mineral resources and energy opportunities in Zimbabwe. The organisation initially target minerals such as gold, chrome, diamonds, platinum, copper andin Zimbabwe. The initial target area is bringing mothballed gold mines back into production and then moving on to developing brown field gold opportunities in Zimbabwe. We also seek to take advantage of the domestic and worldwide demand for coal and power development, with an initial focus on SADC. The major aims and objectives of the organisation are but not limited to: i. Advocating for allocation of mining claims and mining equipment to the youth in Zimbabwe ii. Encouraging the youth to fully participate in the mining sector. iii. Affording the youth opportunities to exhibit their potentials in mining. iv. Considering the fact that the youth are future leaders and heirs of Zimbabwe, in them lies vast amounts of untapped potential in terms of practical/hands-on ideas and energy to achieve set targets in any endeavour, especially the mining sector of this economy.
