The group is intended for economic empowerment for Educators in Zambia. The Zambia Education Savings and Credit Cooperatives Society Limited (ZESACCO) is a financial credit union with the primary aim of promoting a culture of regular savings and low cost borrowing primarily for all officers in the education sector in Zambia. However, we welcome all who are interested. ZESACCO is fully registered with the Registrar of Cooperatives, Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises. We are also members of the National Association of Savings and(NASCU). Cooperatives are further regulated by the Bank of Zambia. To join and enjoy full membership benefits, you have three financial obligations: 1. Pay a non-refundable membership fee of ZMW 100 (used for bank charges and other administrative costs). 2. Buy at least 10 shares, each valued at ZMW 100. The share capital can only be withdraw if you opt to leave the Cooperative. 3. Make regular (monthly) savings, an amount which you'll determine on your own. The minimum is ZMW 100. Savings can be accessed at your convenience with prior notification of the Treasurer. The Wisconsin Ideation & Local Development (WILD) Initiative is looking to involve participants and their credit unions in a nine-month process to develop financial products, services, and business models. The effort is a collaboration of: The Wisconsin Credit Union League and Corporate Central Credit Union, which are coordinating and funding the program; Filene Research Institute, which engages participants in the ideation, development, and implementation; and, which dedicate themselves to a nine-month process of engagement. Participants will move from insights to ideation, prototyping, testing, and an official unveiling of homegrown innovation at the The League's Annual Convention & Expo.
