This group is for software developers and others interested in advocating for open technologies and practices for business communications and government lodgements. Open technologies and practices mean that all software developers can use them. Recently we have seen SuperStream and e-invoicing develop which require a software developer to sign a contract with other members of the "cartel" before you can do an otherwise simple thing like send a superannuation contribution or even an invoice. One reason this has happened is that the people who built these technical standards and associated agreements have claimed to represent the software industry. Even though the number of members of theirare small they were able to do this because there was no alternative voice. This group is that alternative. Unlike ABSIA this group is NOT designed to represent members of the software industry. This group is to advocate for the use of open technologies and practices in business to business communications and business to government communications.

The Hong Kong Business Association Vietnam, HKBAV is a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political voluntary Membership Association of Hong Kong business in Vietnam that was established in HCMC in 1999 and Hanoi in 2012.
