Welcome to the USC Marshall Alumni Association's Denver/Colorado alumni group on LinkedIn. This group is a means for USC Marshall School of Business and USC Leventhal School of Accounting alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and Marshall Partners members to connect and network with one another.

CUSBA - The Canada - United States Business Association provides direction and foresight as one of the premier voices for the Canadian and American Business communities. CUSBA is a key voice for small, medium and large businesses in the world’s most prosperous cross border relationship. Headquartered in Detroit, Michigan, the association is a non-profit, non-partisan, issues-oriented organization dedicated to elevating the private sector perspective on issues that affect the two nations. Our members are key business leaders and stakeholders from both sides of the international border. The2012 - 2013 activities will include high-level briefings on issues of current concern, assistance with practical trade and policy challenges, significant networking opportunities and informative seminars. The association is in the process of developing new innovative web based tools, coupled with a comprehensive networking program focused on the development of information on key N.A. business issues affecting the two countries, their States, Provinces and specific business sectors. The CUSBA association promotes: > The common business interests of businesses located in Michigan, South-western Ontario as well as those across all of Canada and the USA. > Stronger business and trading linkages between Canada and the USA by providing a forum to exchange information and ideas and to build relationships. > The associations objectives by means of speakers, panels, special events and educational programs and by exploring common interests and goals with other local business associations. > An increased awareness of bilateral business opportunities through programs that blend the practical with the thought provoking.

IPEDA is a Paris based non-for profit association founded in 2009. It supports its members in their activities with regards to digital distribution and marketing, while being dedicated to the advancement of the European Film Industry in the digital age. IPEDA federates Film Production, Distribution and Sales companies. VoD Platforms, broadcaster, professional, and institutions are also admitted. IPEDA’s objectives are based on realneeds from its members looking to work together in order to strengthen the Film and VoD industries in Europe. As a result, they can be summarised as follows: - Increase the circulation of films in VoD, and thus expand the monetising opportunities for rights-holders, - Provide a networking environment, through a non-for profit association, where information, best practices, and resources can be mutualised and shared.

In 1936 a small group of enterprising traders within the Boston securities community banded together to form an organization which is known today as the Boston Securities Traders Association. Their intent was to create a single organization which would provide a forum for regular communication within the trading community to improve the ethics,standards and working environment for members. On January 29th of that year, at the Boston Stock Exchange, a constitution and by-laws were adopted and the Association's first officers were elected. Today, the association continues to thrive. With approximately one hundred members at inception, the BSTA membership presently totals nearly six hundred strong and grows yearly. Currently the BSTA is one of the largest member affiliates of the Security Traders Association (STA), an international organization representing over 5,000 traders throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. Throughout its storied history, the BSTA has consistently promoted the best interests of the securities profession and that of the association through meetings, dinners and social outings. Today that tradition continues with educational and charitable events hosted during the year, to include the Annual Conference, the Autumn Harvest Party, held in honor of retired members and the association’s December Annual Meeting.

The purpose of the Women Association Executives Network is to bring together women association executives and business partners committed to strengthening women as leaders in the association industry. This group provides a safe and supportive space for members to share ideas, ask for advice and offer assistance in the area of women's leadership development. We strive to help women inincrease their influence, lead at their best and transform their organizations. This group originally started to connect those who attended the first -- and only -- ASAE Women's Leadership Symposium in Charlotte, NC, April 16 - 18, 2008. This group is now refocusing to serve everyone (association staff/executives, consultants, industry partners) working within the 501c profession.

Investigative Body Status by a Canadian PrivateAgency On March 30, 2004, a Regulation under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) was signed into law, naming licensed private investigators, by class, as an investigative body. The Regulation imposes the following conditions: • The private investigator must be part of a corporation or other body; • The corporation or other body must be licensed under the laws of a Province to provideof private investigation; • The Corporation or other body must have a Privacy Code compliant with the CSA Model Code; • The corporation or other body must belong to a professional association that represents the interests of private investigators; and • The professional association must have a Privacy Code compliant with the CSA Model Code. A Corporation or other body is defined as: (i) Is licensed by a province to engage in the business of providing private investigators or detectives and has a privacy code that is compliant with the Canadian Standards Association CAN/CSA-Q830-96, Model Code for the Protection of Personal Information, as amended from time to time, and (ii) Is a member in good standing with a professional association that represents the interests of private investigators or detectives and that as such as has privacy code.
