The Visitor Experience Leaders Network is an active network of passionate, visitor-focused VX leaders in museums, libraries, archives, and other educational non-profits. UMKC University Libraries are an essential partner in intellectual discovery, knowledge creation, and empowerment while serving as the hub of learning activities for students, researchers, and its urban neighbors. The Federal and Armed Forces Libraries Interest Group (FAFLIG) is a common forum for library professionals working in (or aspiring to work in) U.S. federal agencies and the U.S. armed forces. Federal libraries and armed forces libraries serve a variety of roles in research and development, administrative support, public information, general information for military families on military bases, and archives. FAFLIG promotes library and information service and the library and information profession in the federal and armed forces communities; promotes appropriate utilization of federal and armed forces library and information resources and facilities; and provides an environment for the stimulation of research and development relating to the planning, development, and operation of federal and armed forces libraries. It is a supportive network for professional growth and advancement and a focal point for discussion of key information management and technology issues. The members of FAFLIG are librarians, library staffers, library agencies, students, and others interested in the activities and work of federal and armed forces libraries. FAFLIG is the successor organization to FAFLRT, the Federal and Armed Forces Libraries Round Table, within the American Library Association (ALA). It is an interest group in the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) of the ALA.

The creation of archives of traditional folk Greek singing such as: discography, libraries, research sound records, photographs and cine films are also main tasks within the research framework of ERKET. The organization of scientific educational programs, seminars and lectures concerning our knowledge of the Greek traditional folk singing plays one of the most important parts in the educational activities of ERKET (lectures, master classes, seminars). The formation of vocal ensembles which perform the different types of Greek traditional folk singing, the education and training of soloists and also teaching and applying vocal techniques and musical/musicological knowledge are also some of the basic aims of the Centre.

To achieve its mission, the IIPC is working to accomplish the following goals: 1) To enable the collection of a rich body of Internet content from around the world to be preserved in a way that it can be archived, secured and accessed over time. 2) To foster the development and use of common tools, techniques and standards that enable the creation of international archives. 3) To encourage and support national libraries everywhere to address Internet archiving and preservation. The IIPC accomplishes its goals through collaboration in working groups, support from officers, and guidance from the Steering Committee.

If you are a member of the university community, a CU grad or friend pursuing a library career, an employer looking to hire a librarian, a participant in our Library Careers Programs, or someone just interested in libraries, we are glad to network with you. We want to create a space that facilitates sharing library employment opportunities with CU grads working (or hoping to work) in libraries/archives. No pressure, no commitment - just a place where all can share library job opportunities that might appeal to CU grads who were interns, participated in the Careers Program, worked in the Centennial Library, or came to be interested in libraries through some other means.

Knowledge River is a graduate program at the University of Arizona School of Information that focuses on educating information professionals who have experience with and sensitivity to Black + Indigenous + People of Color (BIPOC) populations. Knowledge River fosters cultural awareness and understanding of library and information issues from the perspectives of BIPOC communities. We advocate for culturally aware and sensitive services to these communities including information management and access to information. Since its inception, Knowledge River has become the foremost graduate program for training librarians and information specialists with a focus on attention to ethnically diverse needs and opportunities. To date, over 230 scholars have graduated from this program and are now working in information environments such as libraries, archives, and museums. Knowledge River has served as a catalyst for increasing awareness of diversity in the iSchool, which now requires all scholars to enroll in courses designed to integrate cultural and ethnic perspectives throughout LIS curriculum and instruction.
