History Defenders is an organization founded to help preserve our Civil War landmarks by creating awareness of preservation activities, political battles, and fundraising efforts that concern battlefields, monuments and structures significant to the War Between the States. Through inaction and/or a lack of awareness, we have allowed many Civil War landmarks to be irreversibly altered or lost entirely. When this failure to appreciate and protect our past occurs, a part of our history dies and is no longer available for the education and appreciation of future Americans. Some of the areas of concern to the group are: Battlefields When battlefields, or parts of battlefields, are threatened by development or other disruptions of their original state, we raise awareness among the public and government officials to help provide funding and support to organizations fighting for their preservation. Monuments We help restore and repair existing monuments, help create new monuments and when needed, silence supporters encouraging the destruction of existing monuments (although this is against law, some are still attempting to have monuments honoring the Confederacy removed or otherwise destroyed). This forum provides an avenue to publicize the need for intervention to save and repair these pieces of American history. Structures Likewise, we are an avenue to promote the preservation of other structures such as buildings and houses that played a significant role in the war. Join us today and help make members aware of what is going on across the country—north or south, east or west. Members need to know when our Civil War heritage is being threatened so that we can serve as its defender. This forum provides an avenue to spread the word, encourage involvement and exchange ideas.

WHAT IS WENITED? Wenited is the only progressive Ohio based not-for-profit organization dedicated to engaging millennials in their communities around issues they care about. Over the past decade, the mentality and habits of young people have changed from how they donate, what political affiliations hey hold to how they view government. Since the election of Barack Obama, few organizations have been able to activate young people the way he has with his message of hope and change. We studied his success carefully and read through many research papers and we believe we have a great strategy to energize young people again, the way he did. Many organizations enact plans to engage this generation but are misguided about their approach. They fail to understand that this generation is different like no other that have come before. If we want to truly get young people to be more involved in their communities and the political process we must check the organizational ego at the door. Millennials care about causes, not institutions, they rely heavily on the views and opinions of their peers and what they say often contradicts what they do. European Democrat Students (EDS) is a pan-European centre-right student organization, representing 31 member organizations from 30 countries in Europe. It advocates for a free, democratic and united Europe through a greater student mobility and comprehensive education policies across the continent. Founded in 1961, EDS is one of the oldest and biggest youth/student organizations in Europe. The three pillars of EDS originally stood for Conservatism, Liberalism and Christian-Democracy.
