Established in 1954, the New Hampshire Association (NHAB) of Broadcasters is the only voluntary, statewide trade organization serving the Granite State's over-the-air radio and television stations. The program celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2008. This group is open to program alumni past and present. According to the IRTS Web site, up-and-coming communicators learn the realities of the broadcast business world during the nine-week program. The Program begins with an extensive one-week orientation to broadcasting, cable, advertising, and interactive media. Fellows have a rare opportunity to question industry professionals at panels, lectures, and group discussions. They also take related field trips and learn career planning, networking and interviewing skills by attending industry social functions.
