The membership of the International Review Group (IRG) of ASME B31.3 generally meet the following criteria: 1) is a member of an organization involved with piping codes and standards outside of the United States and Canada, 2) expresses a desire to become a member of the International Review Group, 3) expected to comment on Code ballots at hand and present to the Section Committee any hurdles, jurisdictionally or otherwise, to implementation of ASME B31.3 as a Global Code. Of particular interest is the understanding of the technical positions of local codes and standards producing bodies thereby allowing the Committee to act on best technology for all. Currently there are members, or prospective members who are applying for membership, from the following countries: Germany, Netherlands, Wales, Ireland, France, Malaysia, India, Australia, and Saudi Arabia. The Group organized on LinkedIn provides a discussion forum for group members regarding any issues concerning B31.3. Any changes in the code B31.3 have to follow the processes established by the ASME committee.
