Apart from new developments, business models and new cutting-edge technology, waste prevention, effective sorting, collection and recycling will however always be the basis to further build on. The whole multifaceted process will be the backbone of the evolution towards a green, circular economy. It is however a challenge, we cannot do just by ourself. In a European and mondial market, the OVAM is eager to share its experience on materials management with the European and international global community. Vice versa, we look forward to learning from like-minded pioneers elsewhere. The shift towards sustainable materials management will require partnerships between and across governments, industries, sectors of society and also over state borders.
