RES’EAU-WaterNET is Canada’s first and only organization devoted exclusively to developing innovative water treatment technologies for small, rural and first nations communities (SRCs). We leverage the considerable human and technological capital in our partner organizations to identify research priorities, conceive and execute lab-scale experiments, pilot test hypotheses on the ground in actual SRCs (“Community Circles”) and speed the final development and deployment of promising technologies. Our co-creators include relevant government agencies, not-for-profits, universities, industry and communities. With a holistic understanding of the diverse political, social and economic environments found in SRCs, our collective goal is to create solutions that can be readily adopted by this highly specialized market. The public health and economic implications are significant – more than five million Canadians and 2.5 billion people globally live in rural areas that lack access to reliable sources of drinking water.

Founded in 1975, the Florida Suncoast Chapter is a non-profit, non-political organization and a regional faction of two organizations – the ICC and BOAF. The Florida Suncoast Chapter is one of the many regional chapters of the ICC and BOAF, and is composed of code enforcement officials, architects, engineers, contractors, manufacturers, suppliers and other construction professionals, working together to promote professionalism in code application. Iko Poran is a non-profit organization, with no political or religious affiliation. We are founded on the principles of democracy, peace, citizen’s rights, human rights, and non-discrimination on the basis of belief, race, color, age, sexual orientation or gender. Iko Poran has as its purpose the fight against all forms of social exclusion, providing national and international volunteer placements in various areas, notably the environment, education, health, the arts, culture and science. Our programs help, directly and indirectly, provide social assistance to children and young adults, and to social groups at risk of social exclusion, promoting their citizenship and social integration. Iko Poran operates in partnership with many Brazilian NGOs and works with them to design programs which better serve their communities. The programs provide training for volunteers and communities, generating income and employment. We do this in a transparent and ethical manner, sharing significant revenues with our partner organizations.
